AOC Is Back In The News — For All The Wrong Reasons

All of those 'above the law' lectures are about to come back and haunt her

Remember the Democrat glee when each and every check Trump wrote was leveraged as a separate ‘felony’ charge despite the fact that nondisclosure agreements he could not have legally claimed as a campaign expense were NOT claimed as such?

It didn’t matter if it was a ‘novel’ use of the law, or that they had to twist legal language and ignore questions of precedent to get it across the finish line. Dems didn’t give two flibberdyjibbets about actual questions of guilt or innocence. They only cared if they could tag Trump with the adjective ‘convicted’.

They got their scalp, but it didn’t have the intended effect. Trump got in anyway.

In the process of getting their piece of Trump, they set new legal expectations: Campaign finance law infractions are not a small issue to be pooh-poohed by the rich and powerful with a little slap on the wrist. Violations are now a matter of real criminal enforcement. As Democrats were quick to tell us, ‘no one is above the law’.

And for a party that was so quick to accuse Elon Musk of being hopped up on Ketamine (he shut down his critics with a clean drug test), the truth of the matter is, his doctor had prescribed limited doses as a corrective for the depression he had suffered previously. Allegations that he had abused it were put to rest, but not before everyone on the left weaponized anonymous NY Times claims about his supposedly wild drug use while working closely with the Oval Office.

In fact, that was around the time when Elon and Trump had a temporary falling out.

Well, life comes at you fast. AOC finds herself standing in the Venn diagram in the precise point where those two stories intersect.

Did she mislabel campaign dollars that was supposedly spent on ‘leadership training’ on a psychiatrist specializing in Ketamine therapy?

Far-left “Squad” Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) violated federal election and House ethics rules by misusing nearly $19,000 in campaign cash last year on a shrink who specializes in controversial ketamine therapy, a bombshell new complaint claims.

DC-based National Legal and Policy Center filed a joint complaint Friday with the Federal Elections Commission and the Office of Congressional Conduct, demanding both enforcement agencies probe Ocasio-Cortez, her congressional campaign committee and its treasurer, Frank Llewellyn.

It wouldn’t be the first time her office has been accused of problems with campaign funds.

ClashDaily reported on a scheme she was involved in that intentionally made it difficult to trace donations, using opaque flow-throughs that have more lax reporting standards.
