The result of the election is not catastrophic, but it is instructive. It cannot be dismissed as an anomaly. Historically, mid-term elections do not favor incumbents. Further, incumbents are highly vulnerable, especially when the country is at war, when leadership appears wobbly, when global conflicts proliferate and the cost of living exacerbates.
In this campaign Democrats plucked two strings to victory: keeping it simple and focusing on message. They inflamed class struggle. They expanded ‘hate’ Trump frenzy, and they successfully exploited ‘affordability’ by linking the war and inflation.
The people are not better off than they were two years ago. In fact, they are worse off. Their voting patterns reveal they are angry and disillusioned, glad to blame all incumbents, even as ultra radicals advance jihad, communism and open borders.
The situation is evolving nicely for radicals. As they treat the middle class like a cash cow they push extremism further right and further left. Will they push so far as to replace Republicans with mega-conservatism and Democrats with sharia and communism? If traditionalists allow ultra radicals to rule, they will eventually destroy this republic. It is their stated goal.
The bottom line remains the same today as yesterday: will we fight back and save our country or will we lose liberty and justice forever? Will we learn lessons from history and reject communism? Will we stop voting driven by emotion and start voting to save the Republic? Will we squarely face jihad and focus on defeating all enemies, or will we accommodate the poison called appeasement?
Finally, none of these points have any merit unless we vow to do more than vote. Our destruction is assured if we fail to rekindle the Founders’ vision. And our love of country is only puppy love unless we are willing to put it all on the line. Will we act on this precious truth, that America cannot survive but by God’s grace?
Will we learn this lesson and apply it?
