THE WAR ON LOCAL POLICE: Three Things You Should Know About Chicago Shooting

The murder capital of America is blocking traffic over the killing of a 17-year-old black teenager by police. The teenager was armed with a knife and had PCP in his system.
Aside from that, here are three things you must know:
First, the date of the hearing was set to be the day before the Thanksgiving before an election year.
The incident occurred in October 2014 but, in the interest (no doubt) of a “quick and speedy” trial, the powers –that-be decided to wait over a year before charges were filed. Sixteen shots from the officer’s gun, and it took over a year to decide this was excessive. Anita Alvarez is certainly a prosecutor destined for greatness with efficiency like that.
Second, the officer that fired the shots will face more punishment from U.S. authorities within the U.S. than any terrorist. Additionally, he will draw more presidential criticism than any terrorist.
Third, police everywhere were just forced to surrender any military style equipment.
It may seem like this is another step in the war against police, but in reality this is a war against freedom and a political tactic to draw attention away from true enemies of America and our way of life.
The conversation at the Thanksgiving dinner table was going to be about the Paris attacks, Syrian refugees, and the inability of the economic “recovery” to get cousin Susie a job that pays more than $12 an hour, or Uncle Jimmy’s health insurance going from $350 a month to $700 a month.
Now, with the simple release of a single act that occurred over a year ago, an act that no one appeared to care about until Tuesday, the entire country will focus their attention on the actions of one police officer and a PCP influenced teenager that was running down the street carrying a knife.
This is a way to draw attention from our true enemies.
We’ve had a U.S. ambassador killed while our government literally told us “it doesn’t matter who did it and why” while a year-old killing forces the same government to issue a public statement.
People are being killed, heads are being chopped off, women are being raped, and yet not a single person is held responsible. But a police officer will be tried and convicted in the court of public opinion before the Christmas lights are put away.
This is a way to redirect anger from a frustrated country towards the very people who are tasked for protection.
And the police, attacked in the media, are now left defenseless against a real attack.
In the event that tanks roll down your street, Officer Jones down the street will be standing right next to you, holding the same handgun you have, firing the same rounds. Helpless against the attack from superior weapons of superior governments.
The stripping of “military style” equipment from police is, in fact, the stripping of local governments to defend themselves against… larger governments.
The attack on police is an attack on freedom. We should be thankful this Thanksgiving that we still have local police. We should spend our Thanksgiving talking about a world without them, instead of a world where they face more punishment than Islamic extremist terrorists.
