    Reagan Revolution! Yay!

    • KroekerMom

Based on the rules changes made at the RNC convention and the actions taken to remove delegates, if this was done back when Reagan was running for office, then Reagan (who the Republican leadership didn’t want) would never have been elected. Unless the power can be taken from those currently in charge of the Republican party, we will never again get a candidate half as good as Reagan.

  • Bulldog74

I had a feeling the Republicans were in trouble in ’08 when I kept noticing in the primaries that the numbers of Democrats voting were much higher than those who voted in the GOP primaries…here’s hoping things have turned around

    • mrrzk

Its up to us to turn it around, otherwise we will continue on the path we are in.

With them mistreating Ron Paul and his followers, watch the pube rolls drop a lot soon.

    • Keith

Vote for ANYONE but Barry Sotoro. As for Ron Paul, he was my first choice too but that time is over. Conservatives need to take back America. Mitt might not turn out as conservative as we would like but he’s a whole lot better then the current Communist Muslim in the White House. Baby steps guys, do it by the vote to avoid having to use other means.

  • Dale

Whoever you are…please vote…we need to get this imposter out of office and help our country heal

I can’t understand why anyone would consider themselves a democrat these days, Oh yah, I forgot, half the people are getting Obama money. I hope they are proud of themselves, If Obama gets re-elected he will throw everyone under the bus. MARK MY WORDS!!!!

  • bsfurg

To me there is nothing good about Obama I dont care what Neil and Hannity say.. They have no idea what kind of a Father he is either.. Obama is so good and saying one thing and do the other that you cant believe anything he says..anyone who want abortion is not good.. anyone who want Saharah law is not good.. anyone who want our Military to pay for there own health care is horrible.. with out our Military Obama wuldn not be where he is today..Maybe God helped put Obama in the WH as a warning to what could happen if we donth change our ways.. hey who knows… We have lot of cleaning up to do..

  • KroekerMom

I was at the Republican National Convention. Based on the actions of the RNC, they aren’t any better than the Democrats. They wouldn’t allow anyone who didn’t agree to speak. They unseated duly elected delegates from several states to prevent Ron Paul from speaking or being nominated. They changed the rules to allow the central committee to change rules anytime they want and to allow the central committee to remove elected delegates any time they want. They even had the teleprompter telling the motions, “all in favor say aye”, and “in the opinion of the chairman, the ayes have it”. Yes, they had the results of all votes on the teleprompter. They ignored the actual votes and turned off the microphones in the areas with the states that oposed Romney. The rules change had a large number on the rules committee that opposed it. If 25% of the committee disagrees, the minority report is required to be read to the convention, but the minority report has to be submitted in a certain time frame to the chairman, so the chairman left and hid to prevent receiving the minority report. They scanned and emailed it to him in time. The RNC then had the buses, with the Virginia delegation(which was leading the group opposing the rule changes) and the bus with the lawyer leading against the rule changes, drive around the convention center repeatedly until the vote was taken so they couldn’t oppose the vote and so their voices weren’t heard. The RNC succeeded in completely silencing anyone who didn’t blindly follow Romney and the RNC. Our voices were silenced and our votes weren’t counted. Anyone believing that they have any voice in electing the president is completely wrong.

    • Fox

I agree. I will hold my nose and vote for Romney, because four more years of little o is unthinkable.
But after this, I will be looking at either joining another party, or going independent.
I never thought I’d say this after all these years, but no more republican party for me. Maybe the TEA party, if they ever form a real one. I would join that.
After what they did at the convention to those delegates, I have had enough.

    • mrrzk

If your statement is meant to change minds against voting for Romney/Ryan, I dont
care. I will vote for R & R. Obama lies and lies and lies and spends and spends . How can anyone spend 5 trillion dollars?
Stop being so sensitive and look at the bigger picture. The Muslims are invading our Country and Obama is leading. There is more danger here then your hurt feelings. Check and see where Obama is taking our Country.
I suggest WE THE PEOPLE unite to remove Obama. Another 4 yrs. and Obama will surely complete his mission. THIS IS AMERICA STAND UP AND FIGHT FOR WHAT OUR FOREFATHERS DIED FOR—if Obama succeeds, we will be the UNITED STATES OF ISLAM—WATCH 2016 Obama’s America…………….

  • ste1021

Another good sign for Republicans, but they need to offset minorities who will vote as a block, more and more people on the public dole, and the 50% who pay no federal income tax (plus whatever number of seniors they can dredge up with MediScare).

    • gpsterling

This is one senior who cannot be “dredged up” and I know many others, also. I haven’t heard of any who vote as a bloc, either.

  • adamenochnoah

More attempts at damage control by the RNC after splitting the party at the convention…

    • tampapatriot

I really get tired of all the Palbots fighting to split the Republican party. Ron Paul is a libertarian who ran as a Republican to proclaim his crazy ideas. God help us all that he would have gotten a chunk of the ROP platform. Most of his followers are students, while very idealistic, never paid a cent of taxes, yet they vote on what I
      must pay. Enough already.,

      • adamenochnoah

No. Ron Paul supporters, as any other supporters just wanted a level playing field which they did not get. They played by the rules & were so successful that the RNC had to change the rule twice at the convention. Ron Paul is a Republican that ran once as a Libertarian to try to overcome the RNC cheaters. The people who support Ron Paul are from all walks of life, all age groups, all parties. I know , I have been voting GOP since Jimmy Carter. PS: It’s not about Ron Paul, it’s about obeying the Constitution…

      • RageFury

You do realize the Rule changes that the RNC made to shaft the “Paulbots” and keep Ron Paul from his 15 minute speech has already split the Republican party? Remember the crowds Ron Paul consistently pulled that dwarfed Romney’s? You think the chicanery the RNC pulled will have no consequences?

These very rule changes also prevent another Reagan from ever winning the nomination as well. Have you considered that? Enjoy the crap the RNC feeds you later, expect nothing better…

By demeaning and sidelining Ron Paul Republicans you also lose a decent sized vote base that could make a big difference in the General. Perhaps you should take a step back and remember some of your Republican roots and history.
Ron Paul supported Reagan once, before Reagan parted from his platform, the platform that got him elected.
Likewise Ron Paul supported Bush, before Bush parted from his platform, the platform that got him elected the first time.

Like it or not this lifelong working Republican, who has paid his share of taxes, supported Reagan and at one time supported Bush. I also happen to support Ron Paul now that I understand what has been going on.

What you pay is not a result of Ron Paul and his supporters. What an absurd thought. Truth is, if Ron Paul had been elected this coming election and Congress had a likewise change of command, Government Spending would have been slashed and the budget balanced and people like you wouldn’t be crying about what you must pay as you would be paying less as a result… There was a reason Ron Paul had to be consulted by another candidate about what Departments to cut during one of the debates… Maybe you missed it…
Perhaps you should have taken some time and researched the man proper. Either way, you shouldn’t be making fallacious accusations about that which you know nothing about. It does you no favors.

  • Bill Weston

It’s not about my party right or wrong, it’s about my country and doing the next right thing according to proven principles. Apparently too many americans have forgotten how precious is our liberty. If our unalienable rights are to be kept, we must use them. No country in world history has experienced the peace and properity that we americans enjoy. Thus we are challenged again and again both externally and from within. If I’m wealthy, I’m obliged to use that wealth wisely. If I’m armed, I’m obliged to use that weapon(S) responsibly. My freedom of speech obliges me to speak as truthfully as I can, but speak up in any case. Thus the candidate that works to those same ends will get my support and my vote regardless of party affiliation.

Pray to your Heavenly Father in Jesus name to oust Captain Wrongway Peachfuzz Obama and give America a real leader that HE will be pleased with. Mr. President, I hope your reading this. I hope you realize that all you had to do was keep a few promises. All you really needed to do in this society was keep gas at a low price. If anything you should have mandated that diesel fuel for shipping be below one dollar a gallon as big trucks only get six to ten miles a gallon. Trucking companies are hurting because of the fuel bills. Food would not be so expensive and twice a week i would not have to spend one hundred dollars for food and necessities. We all know that one hundred dollars does not go far. You would have gotten my vote no matter what party you were in if you would have listened to the people and, yes, allowed some immigrants in the country without giving them free college educations, food stamps, health care and no interest home loans. But, in fact you turned on the people that elected you to such a high office like a mad dog who bites the hand that feeds it..

The Governor of California is jogging with his dog along a nature trail.
A coyote jumps out and attacks the Governor ‘ s dog, then bites the Governor.
The Governor starts to intervene, but reflects upon the movie “Bambi” and
then realizes he should stop because the coyote is only doing what is natural.

    He calls Animal Control.
Animal Control captures the coyote and who bills the
State $200 testing it for diseases and $500 for relocating it.

    He calls a veterinarian.
The vet collects the dead dog and bills the State $200 testing it for diseases.

The Governor goes to hospital and spends $3,500 getting checked
for diseases from the coyote and on getting his bite wound bandaged.

The running trail gets shut down for 6 months while Fish & Game
conducts a $100,000 survey to make sure the area is now free of
    dangerous animals.

The Governor spends $50,000 in state funds implementing a
“coyote awareness program” for residents of the area.

The State Legislature spends $2 million to study how to better
treat rabies and how to permanently eradicate the disease throughout the world.

The Governor ‘ s security agent is fired for not stopping the attack.
The State spends $150,000 to hire and train a new agent with
additional special training regarding the nature of coyotes.

PETA protests the coyote ‘ s relocation and files a $5 million suit against the State.

    TEXAS :

The Governor of Texas is jogging with his dog along a nature trail.
A coyote jumps out and attacks his dog.

The Governor shoots the coyote with his State-issued pistol and keeps jogging.
The Governor has spent $0.50 on a .45 ACP hollow point cartridge.

The buzzards eat the dead coyote.

That, my friends, is why California is broke and Texas is not.

    From a California school teacher – – –

“As you listen to the news about the student protests over
illegal immigration, there are some things that you should be aware of:

I am in charge of the English-as-a-second-language department at
a large southern California high school which is designated a Title 1
school, meaning that its students average lower socioeconomic and income levels.

Most of the schools you are hearing about, South Gate High, Bell Gardens,
Huntington Park, etc., where these students are protesting, are also Title 1 schools.

Title 1 schools are on the free breakfast and free lunch program.
When I say free breakfast, I’m not talking a glass of milk and roll
    — but a full breakfast and cereal bar with fruits and juices that would
make a Marriott proud. The waste of this food is monumental,
with trays and trays of it being dumped in the trash uneaten.

I estimate that well over 50% of these students are obese or at
least moderately overweight. About 75% or more DO have cell phones.
The school also provides day care centers for the unwed teenage
pregnant girls (some as young as 13) so they can attend class
without the inconvenience of having to arrange for babysitters or
    having family watch their kids.

I was ordered to spend $700,000 on my department or risk losing
Funding for the upcoming year even though there was little need for
anything; my budget was already substantial. I ended up buying new
computers for the computer learning center, half of which, one month
later, have been carved with graffiti by the appreciative students who
obviously feel humbled and grateful to have a free education in America ..

I have had to intervene several times for young and substitute teachers
whose classes consist of many illegal immigrant students, here in the
country less then 3 months, who raised so much hell with the female
teachers, calling them “Putas”(whores) and throwing things, that the
    teachers were in tears.

Free medical, free education, free food, free day care etc., etc, etc.
Is it any wonder they feel entitled to not only be in this country but to
    demand rights, privileges and entitlements?

To those who want to point out how much these illegal immigrants
contribute to our society because they LIKE their gardener and
housekeeper and they like to pay less for tomatoes: spend some
time in the real world of illegal immigration and see the TRUE costs.

Higher insurance, medical facilities closing, higher medical costs,
more crime, lower standards of education in our schools, overcrowding,
new diseases. For me, I’ll pay more for tomatoes.

Americans, We need to wake up.

It does, however, have everything to do with culture: It involves an
American third-world culture that does not value education, that accepts
children getting pregnant and dropping out of school by 15 and that
refuses to assimilate, and an American culture that has become so
weak and worried about “political correctness” that we don’t have the
will to do anything about it.

If this makes your blood boil, as it did mine, forward this to everyone you know.

CHEAP LABOR? Isn’t that what the whole immigration issue is about?

Business doesn’t want to pay a decent wage.

    Consumers don’t want expensive produce.

Government will tell you Americans don’t want the jobs.

But the bottom line is cheap labor. The phrase “cheap labor” is a myth,
a farce, and a lie. There is no such thing as “cheap labor.”

Take, for example, an illegal alien with a wife and five children.
He takes a job for $5.00 or 6.00/hour. At that wage, with six
dependents, he pays no income tax, yet at the end of the year,
if he files an Income Tax Return, he gets an “earned income
credit” of up to $3,200, free.

He qualifies for Section 8 housing and subsidized rent.

    He qualifies for food stamps.

He qualifies for free (no deductible, no co-pay) health care.

His children get free breakfasts and lunches at school.

He requires bilingual teachers and books.

He qualifies for relief from high energy bills.

If they are, or become, aged, blind or disabled, they qualify for SSI.
If qualified for SSI they can qualify for Medicaid. All of this is at (our)
    taxpayer’s expense.

He doesn’t worry about car insurance, life insurance, or homeowners insurance.

Taxpayers provide Spanish language signs, bulletins and printed material.

He and his family receive the equivalent of $20.00 to $30.00/hour in benefits.

Working Americans are lucky to have $5.00 or $6.00/hour left after paying their bills and his.

    Cheap labor? YEAH, RIGHT!

    Creation 2

In the beginning, God created the Heaven & the Earth
& populated the Earth with broccoli, cauliflower, spinach,
green and yellow and red vegetables of all kinds so that
man would live long & healthy lives.

Then using God’s great gifts, Satan created Ben & Jerry’s
ice cream & Krispy Cream donuts. And Satan said,
“You want chocolate with that?” And man said, “Yes!”
And woman said, “And as long as you’re at it, add some
sprinkles.” And they gained 10 pounds, and Satan smiled.

And God created the healthful yogurt that woman might
keep the figure that man found so fair. And satan brought
forth white flour & sugar & combined them. And woman
    went from a size 6 to a size 14.

So God said, “Try my fresh green salad.” And Satan
    presented Thousand-island dressing, buttery croutons
and garlic toast on the side. And man & woman had to
    get bigger belts.

God then said, “I’ve sent you heart healthy
vegetables & olive oil in which to cook them.”
And Satan brought forth deep fried fish & chicken
fried steak so big it needed its own platter. And man
gained weight & his cholesterol went through the roof.
God created a light fluffy white cake and named it
“Angel Food Cake,” and said, “it is good.” Satan
then created chocolate cake & named it “Devils

God then brought forth running shoes so that His
children might lose those extra pounds. And Satan
gave them cable TV with a remote control so that
man would not have to toil changing the channels.
And man & woman laughed before the flickering
    blue light and gained pounds.

God brought forth the potato, naturally low in fat
and brimming with nutrition. And Satan peeled
off the healthy skin and sliced the starchy center
into chips and deep fried them. And man gained

God then gave them lean beef so man might
consume fewer calories and still satisfy his
    appetite. And Satan created McDonald’s
and its 99 cent double cheeseburger. Then
said, “you want fries with that?” And man said,
“yes, and super size them!” And Satan said,
“it is good.” And man went into cardiac arrest….

God sighed & created quadruple bypass surgery.

Then Satan created the Obama Healthcare System.

Funny how the picture on this article shows Ronald Reagan–a man honored in the rhetoric of the right, but not by following his policies. Reagan, a one-time Democrat, wouldn’t recognize this so-called Republican Party. The GOP such as it remains won’t support tax fairness, conduct diplomacy before threatening military force on enemies, doesn’t insist its presidential candidate release enough tax returns, doesn’t solve immigration problems hindering millions from productive American life, suppresses women and voters to gain political and social advantages–and worst of all, abdicates its responsibilities to support the American people whose votes they seek by creating jobs to banish the last effects of a Great Recession. No, there’s really no more GOP, just a sour rabble remnant of a once great party of Lincoln who they’ve also abandoned for petty racial animus using dog whistles instead of promoting blacks and other minorities.

    • http://profile.yahoo.com/SANN53ICPBGF3KTTIS3CUNCQ6U GFM2012

You appear, from cursory reading, to be an imbecile. I say that because your definition of “tax fairness” includes nearly half the earners who are not obliged to pay a cent in Federal taxes; Obama did not conduct Afghani “diplomacy” before deploying an additional 30,000 troops to Afghanistan, with no stated or identifiable purpose; the president’s amnesty program is a cynical and desperate attempt to garner legal and illegal votes (and he doesn’t care which); the notion that the GOP supports the “suppression” of women, let alone all voters, is preposterous on its face: if they truly were doing so, would they not be forfeiting tens of millions of votes by women? Yet the advantage of Obama over Romney is half of what it formerly was… The final idiocy is your insisting that the votes sought are somehow based on “creating jobs to banish the last effects of…recession.” Obama has lost a minimum of 800,000 jobs over the nearly four (interminable) years that he has been in office. In reality, because 3.8 million Americans have transitioned to “disability” status under Medicare due to their inability to find work after 99 weeks of unemployment, the actual unemployed or underemployed statistic hovers at 14.9%. The idea that Obama has done anything except destroy current and future jobs is laughable! But I note that the talking points you are following are readily obvious: Great Recession, sour rabble, party of Lincoln, racial animus, dog whistles… It’s plain that you are, after all is said and done, nothing but a MoveOn.org cut-and-paster who clearly has no comprehension of what tripe he is disseminating nor what the eventual consequences would be for America should we be foolish or petty enough to re-elect this malignant, un-American (and non-American) Marxist troll.
