It’s time. Time to arm teachers and staff members at our public schools. The worst mass shootings in our country’s history have all occurred in supposed “gun free” zones. They were – for everyone but the criminals who didn’t care about obeying the law, or town ordinances or the wishes of the property owners.
Thomas Jefferson said it fairly succinctly in his “Legal Commonplace Book” when he included this,
Laws that forbid the carrying of arms … disarm only those who are neither inclined nor determined to commit crimes. Such laws make things worse for the assaulted and better for the assailants; they serve rather to encourage than prevent homicides, for an unarmed man may be attacked with greater confidence than an armed one.
