Both the U.S. armed forces and the Boy Scouts of America thought that surrendering to evil would appease it and they would then be able to “move on,” but they are quickly finding out that they were wrong.
Ending the ban on sodomites in the armed forces was supposed to solve an imaginary problem so that the armed forces could concentrate on fighting. But only the incredibly foolish believed any part of that.
Removing the legal ban on sodomites serving in the armed forces never was about “equality” or “rights,” but instead just another method for the left to tear down a once great American institution. Nor was it ever intended to be an end result. The left is evil and since evil can never be satisfied, that win was only the beginning of its demands.
Making it legal for so-called transgenders to serve openly in the armed services is one of the next ways the left intends to destroy American self-defense.
The New York Times published an advocacy piece in support of this last month.
IT was 2 a.m., just a few days before Christmas, in a remote part of Afghanistan. Eight hours into a 16-hour shift, Ryan, a 23-year-old American naval sailor, was standing tense and alert, watching the footage of soldiers undertaking a nearby mission on a screen in front of him.
Suddenly, a hand clapped onto his back. Wheeling around to look at the face of his senior officer, Ryan knew the moment he had feared had come: His superiors had found out that his enlisted paperwork described him as female. Within three hours, he was on a plane.
Ryan, who is now stationed on a base in the United States awaiting a potential discharge, recently described that day to me. Ryan is the name his mother would have given him if he had been identified as male at birth. He does not want to reveal his real name because his case is being processed by the military.
While the repeal of “don’t ask, don’t tell” in 2011 meant gays and lesbians could serve openly in the American military, transgender people still cannot, because the military defines gender nonconformity as a psychological disorder. So transgender soldiers serve in silence, facing dismissal if exposed.
So history is repeating. The guilty become the victims and the law is irrelevant when it comes to advancing the leftist agenda. Expect the left to ratchet up its cries of “denying transgender persons the ability to serve” as being a “rights violation.” In fact, the left is already pushing out “studies” and “experts” to pave the way for this.
The Boy Scouts also are finding out that surrendering to evil doesn’t solve problems.
Leadership of the Boy Scouts ostensibly terminated moral requirements for its members in order to appease the left and stop the assaults against it. But again, anyone who has any awareness of how the modern world works knew this wouldn’t end the left’s demands.
John Stemberger is not at all surprised that Disney World says it will no longer financially support the Boy Scouts nor allow any of its 66,000 employees to volunteer for the Boy Scouts and have those hours counted toward Disney volunteer time.
The decision comes approximately one year after Disney World appointed its first openly gay president, George Kalogridis.
Stemberger, an Eagle Scout in his youth, was a major figure in the effort to keep the Boy Scouts from changing their policy of not allowing openly gay boys in the Scouts. When the Boy Scouts decided last year to allow openly gay scouts, Stemberger and others met in Nashville and founded a rival scouting group called Trail Life. . . .
He said that such action was inevitable because gay leaders would never be satisfied with the new Boy Scout policy of allowing openly gay boys but not allowing openly gay adult leaders. The new policy opened up the prospect of a gay Eagle Scout being kicked out at 18 when he wants to become an adult leader.
I have no respect for Disney or the sodomites running it. But there is an amount of justice in the Boy Scouts now having no friends. The BSA reaped what it sowed.
The armed forces and the Boy Scouts will continue self-destructing under their current leadership. That’s a shame (and in the case of the armed forces, dangerous for all of us). There isn’t much most of us can do about either of those organizations. But they should serve as a reminder to the few remaining America Christians and constitutionalists that surrendering to evil is a strategy always doomed to fail. Fighting for what’s right and standing up to evil—regardless of the odds—is always the right thing to do.
