Taliban Atrocities: Barack Obama Rewards and Encourages Them

WARNING:  brutal, graphic descriptions and depictions of Taliban atrocities.

Do we even remember why we went to Afghanistan?  Do we recall what the enemy in that country did to us on 9/11?  Do we note the connection between the Taliban and Al Qaeda?  Does anyone remember what the Taliban did to the people of Afghanistan, and the atrocities they commit even to this day?

Coordinating with NATO, the U.N. and our allies, we went to Afghanistan in 2001 to nail the buggers that perpetrated 9/11, and to liberate the Afghanis from the terror and tyranny of the Taliban.

Background:
The Taliban is an Islamic fundamentalist (Deobandi) militant movement of Pashtun tribesmen created by Punjabi generals of Pakistan army and Salafist princes and clerics of Saudi Arabia.  It ruled large parts of Afghanistan and its capital, Kabul, as the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan from September 1996 until October 2001. It gained diplomatic recognition from three Takfiri Jihadi states: Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, and the United Arab Emirates. The main leader of the Taliban movement is a Deobandi cleric Mullah Mohammed Omar, and Kandahar is considered the birthplace of the Taliban.” – See more at: http://lubpak.com/archives/5150#sthash.vrebbZGy.dpuf  (This article details brutal Taliban atrocities perpetrated during many years.)

Mullah Omar is the man celebrating the Taliban victory in the release of Sgt. Bergdahl in return for five Taliban commanders released from Gitmo.  Here is the short list of what the Taliban was and is doing to the people of Afghanistan:

>mass murder
>beating infants to death
>torture, beheadings
>summary executions
>genital mutilation
>brutal repression of women and girls, disallowing education of females
>gunning down little boys who dared laugh in the presence of Taliban fighters
>stoning, mutilation, massacre

Even after U.S. and NATO intervention, the Taliban continues in various places with these atrocities:

The treatment of U.S. military personnel when captured is especially brutal.  Taliban fighters have also tortured and killed Afghan regulars, and soldiers serving from other nations.  A favorite pasttime of some Taliban fighters is cutting off the faces of prisoners and watching them writhe in agony.

In short, the Taliban respects no rule of law, no convention of war, or the demands of common decency.

The internet is filled with accounts of Taliban atrocities.

And these are the people Obama just released from Gitmo, declaring unilaterally, we have peace in Afghanistan. Can there be any doubt this President has squandered American and Allied blood and treasure in both Afghanistan and Iraq, giving aid and comfort to our enemies, time and again?
