PETTY, PETULANT, PATHETIC: President Payback v. the New Leader of the Free World
As we discussed on a recent edition of The Teri O’Brien Show, “President Payback’s Secret Plan to Build Up Iran“, those poor confused souls who are confounded by Barack Obama’s foreign policy disasters, and ask “what is he thinking?” don’t get it. Obama’s decisions, to take out Libya’s Muammar Gaddafi and Egypt’s Hosni Mubarak, while leaving Bashar al-Assad in place, despite the Syrian dictator’s crossing of that infamous red line, are perfectly consistent with his ideology, and more important, his “remaking” of America, and as a result, the world.
On March 3, 2015, the Prime Minister of Israel, Benjamin Netanyahu, delivered a long-anticipated, and somewhat controversial, speech to a joint session of Congress after accepting an invitation from Speaker of the House John Boehner. For weeks leading up to the speech, various Obama Regime apparatchiks and Congressional Democrat lackeys expressed their disgust, or even outrage, over Mr. Netanyahu’s chutzpah. How dare this guy travel across the ocean to a foreign country, just weeks before he stands for election, to give a grandstanding speech before a supportive audience where he would be treated like a rock star? When I put it that way, I think you can see why B. Hussein had his undies in such a bundle. Who does Bibi think he is, Barack Obama circa 2008?
While of course Obama does not appreciate anyone else having the audacity to steal his world stage rock star schtick, there is another reason that he and his cabal were so distressed at the very thought of this speech. It’s simple. The truth is to the Left as a crucifix is to a vampire, and I don’t just mean White House Chief of Staff Denis McDonough, who looks like a refugee from the set of The Walking Dead. In his speech, Netanyahu did precisely what the Obama administration feared he would. No, he did not reveal details of sensitive negotiations with Iranians, but rather, he stated with clarity and conviction the fact that our government is in the process of deliberately facilitating Iran’s successful pursuit of nuclear weapons. In short, he told the truth.
Gaddafi and Mubarak had to go because they were U.S. allies in the Middle East, enhancing our power and role in the region. The idea of the United States as the sole world super power is revolting to Barack Obama, as it is to all leftist members of the America-is-always-wrong club. The antidote to America’s world prominence is two-fold: cut America down to size by reducing its prestige and influence, and build up its enemies, in this case, Iran. Iran’s client state, Syria, also benefits in this arrangement.
Why in the world would the U.S. government want to assist the Number 1 sponsor of world terrorism, a country that is its sworn enemy, whose officials have repeatedly stated their desire to destroy “The Great Satan?” (Yes, that would be the United States of America.) Once again, it’s simple, and obvious if you understand that Barack Obama is a hard-wired ideologue, a radical leftist, which means that he accepts certain mistaken beliefs as articles of faith.
He believes that the state of Israel is an imperialistic nation, and that those who oppose her are “freedom fighters.” He rejects the notion of American exceptionalism, and therefore, embraces the insane idea that we have no right to tell any other country, even one dedicated to our death and destruction, that they cannot have nukes. “Where do we get off?” That’s the question Barack hears in his head, parroting what he heard for decades from his America-hating mentors and the Marxist professors that he admitted seeking out, reminding me of the immortal words of Eric Hoffer: “An empty head is not really empty; it is stuffed with rubbish. Hence the difficulty of forcing anything into an empty head.”
That is the reason that nothing that Netanyahu said will dissuade Barack Obama from his destructive course of action. Fortunately, the world does not need to rely on this reckless, narcissistic petulant fool to protect it. The new leader of the free world made that clear in his historic and magnificent speech.
