Could BIG Government Make It ILLEGAL to Give a Kleenex Tissue to Someone?

Imagine two ladies walking down the sidewalk in the shopping area on Gateway St. in Springfield, OR.

“Thelma, would you hand me a nose wipe from your purse, four-year-old Leslie’s nose is running?”

“Sorry, Louise, our city has recently passed an Ordinance that “Transferring Items to Pedestrians is Prohibited”. (Springfield Code 6.112)

“Surely you’re kidding, Thelma”.

“Nope, Louise, see it’s right there on the sign. You never know if a City “Staffer, Designee or Ordinance Enforcement Officer” is watching and it could result in a $50 citation. But tell you what; let the little bugger
use my shirt tail, that’s not illegal yet”.

“Golly, Thelma, do they wear uniforms like the S.S. of old or civvies like the Gestapo?”

It’s getting hard to tell them apart from freedom lovers.

In the rush to seal every crack of freedom, many cities are passing “progressive” ordinances without engaging their thinking mush. This ordinance is a carbon copy of ordinances throughout the state of Oregon, a most “progressive” state. What one city does the others follow, apparently thinking that what is good for one is good for all. Seems like that emulates the Marxist Manifesto.

Sure hope the police have better things to do with our hard earned tax money.
