Latest development DESTROYS Hillary’s ‘duplicate’ excuse, puts her BACK on the hot seat. Will ‘StickyLeaks’ be the scandal that finally ‘sticks’ to the Teflon Clintons?
Hillary had Classified email. Check.
Huma was her aide. Check.
Weiner was her husband. Check.
Hillary has claimed a couple of excuses, depending on what suits her.
First, that she handed over all work related emails. If this is true, no new ones should ever turn up. If it is false, she has lied to the FBI. Ask Martha Stewart what happens to people who lie to the FBI.
Second, that no classified content was shared.
We have reason to doubt BOTH of these stories, and the case has been made stronger with what’s turned up on Anthony Weiner’s laptop.
For the first claim, we have THIS CBS report:
The FBI has found emails related to Hillary Clinton’s tenure as secretary of state on the laptop belonging to the estranged husband of Huma Abedin, Anthony Weiner, according to a U.S. official.
These emails, CBS News’ Andres Triay reports, are not duplicates of emails found on Secretary Clinton’s private server. At this point, however, it remains to be seen whether these emails are significant to the FBI’s investigation into Clinton. It is also not known how many relevant emails there are. — CBS
That relates to the ‘classified’ aspect. The fact that they are NOT duplicates, however, proves the first claim to be false. Some of the ‘missing’ emails were NOT produced, regardless their security rating or lack thereof.
There was another story that should prove interesting due to the ‘classified’ side of the investigation:
The exchange from 2010 begins with Clinton confidante Huma Abedin telling her boss that she would mail the secure phone from Washington before her husband, then-Congressman Anthony Weiner, takes her to the airport. Clinton asks if one of Weiner’s assistants could make the delivery.
‘OK I will (redacted) just fedex secure cell phone from dc. Anthony leaving office to bring me to airport now so hopefully will make it just in time,’ Abedin writes in the afternoon of Aug. 2, 2010.
‘Maybe one of Anthony’s trusted staff could deliver secure phone?’ Clinton responds four hours later.
The email does not explain how Clinton had become separate from the phone.
Will this be the scandal that finally catches up with the Clintons?
Considering Bill’s sketchy past, this would be wonderfully ironic.
