YO, LIBTARDS: You Pushed For $15 An Hour For Fast Food Workers – WENDY’S Just PUSHED Back
The Left has been pushing the ‘Fight for $15’ for years. It’s the ‘right thing to do’ they said. But IS it?
The ‘opposition’ to the $15 wage for fast food workers is that the restaurants will cut the hours of employees and find ways to automate to reduce costs.
Cue Wendy’s…
The left has been championing a $15 minimum wage for fast food workers for quite some time, not realizing that a higher minimum wage will cause fast food workers to lose their jobs to robots. Case in point: Wendy’s.
The Associated Press reports that Wendy’s has announced that they will be installing “self-ordering kiosks at about 1,000 locations by the end of the year” because they’re cheaper and ease the burden of long lines.
“They are looking to improve their automation and their labor costs, and this is a good way to do it,” Darren Tristano, vice president of the Technomic research firm, told the AP. “They are also trying to enhance the customer experience. Younger customers prefer to use a kiosk.”

Forbes actually TOLD you this was coming:
And they told you it HURTS the people it claims to help.
Protesters give NO consideration to who their schemes may hurt. They see a logo and a corporation.
What is the assumption? They can afford it, they’re just being cheap.
Wrong. It is NOT the corporation who takes the financial hit.
The corporation is fine. The franchisee, the employees, and the people who shop there because they can’t afford the upscale alternatives? They are another story.
But go ahead and protest and denounce the corporations. They are ‘greedy’ for not paying more.
Actually, these minimum wage jobs are HELPFUL. They hire people with NO work experience and offer them flexible hours that can work around various school or family commitments, practices, school schedules, and all the rest.
It provides an employment history and a employer’s reference that will help propel someone into their NEXT opportunity.
It provides training — including work training, AND training with the ‘soft skills’ like showing up on time, work ethic, proper attitude and personal grooming.
But when you put the screws to someone, you will trigger their Adapt and Survive response — even if that ‘someone’ is a business owner.
And so, Wendy’s — like McDonalds before them — did just that. They’ve automated their kiosks.
Congrats, protesters. You just put people out of work.
Just like the ‘environmentalists’ who left an ecological disaster behind in their pipeline protests, you ‘Social Justice Warriors’ tend to hurt the ones you claim to help.
Next time you want to ‘help’ suffering people?
Do them a favor … and DON’T.
