DEAR CNN: Here’s An Attorney General Who Really Did LIE To Congress

The Media (D) have been playing pin the scandal on the Republican. Yet they were strangely silent on a REAL scandal.

Next target: Jeff Sessions.

Flush with triumph after the Media and *other* Democrats have succeeded in pushing for the resignation of General Michael Flynn over ‘contact’ with the Russians, they’re going to try to stamp that on all of the President’s nominees and those already confirmed in his administration.

It’s been working well with the public so far, so they are determined to keep pushing the ‘Fake News’ of a Trump-Russia connection.

The Washington Post reported that Attorney General Jeff Sessions met with the Russians and didn’t disclose that in his confirmation hearings.

AG Sessions flatly denies this claim.

Contrast this hostility to Team Trump to how the Media (D) ran interference for downplayed criticisms of President Obama’s Attorney General, Eric Holder, lying under oath about a whole lotta things:

From the moment he was sworn in, Holder misled or lied outright to Congress over a host of issues: the targeting of reporters, the ‘new black panther’ party, the administration’s enforcement of federal marijuana laws, and most notoriously the ‘fast and furious’ gun-running scandal.

Testifying to the House Oversight Committee in 2011, Holder blatantly misled the panel about when he became aware of the deadly gun-running scheme.

“When did you first know about the program officially I believe called Fast and Furious? To the best of your knowledge, what date?” asked Chairman Darrell Issa.

Holder’s response? “I’m not sure of the exact date, but I probably heard about Fast and Furious for the first time over the last few weeks.”

That was just not true.

On May 3, 2011, Holder told a Judiciary Committee hearing, “I’m not sure of the exact date, but I probably heard about Fast and Furious for the first time over the last few weeks.”

Yet internal Justice Department documents show that at least ten months before that hearing, Holder began receiving frequent memos discussing Fast and Furious.

The documents came from the head of the National Drug Intelligence Center and Assistant Attorney General Lanny Breuer.

In Fast and Furious, ATF agents allegedly allowed thousands of weapons to cross the border and fall into the hands of Mexican drug cartels.

It’s called letting guns “walk,” and it remained secret to the public until Border Patrol Agent Brian Terry was murdered last December. Two guns from Fast and Furious were found at the scene, and ATF agent John Dodson blew the whistle on the operation.

The Fast and Furious scandal was by far the most egregious.

The Attorney General’s refusal to enforce the law caused the death of an American citizen that was partoling our border.

So, a Democrat in the role of Attorney General making a general mess of things, and actively involved in actions that result in the death of an American citizen?

Crickets.

But Sessions, while in a job as SENATOR that requires him to talk to ambassadors, talks to ambassadors?

Call for his impeachment.

Add to that the fact that there has, to date, been ZERO evidence of collusion between Russia and the Trump capaign, and you have nothing less than a witchhunt.

The only question that REALLY needs answering here, is whether ‘Eric’ or ‘the Press’ would be the better way to recycle that old chant they tried to pin on Dubya.

________ lied, People died.

Which one do YOU think would fit better?

Or maybe you had a different answer in mind.
