In her astute critique of the ad, Regis points out that the jeans are promoted to ‘show that you’re not afraid to get down and dirty’.
Ummm…
Then why would you have to pay $425 for fake mud?
Because if a guy was really getting ‘down and dirty’, his jeans would just look like that.
These jeans are for the hipster dandies that want to try their hand at faking not being hipster dandies.
Guys that would buy these things are wussified little posers that have more money than brains.
Better to just live your life and get real mud caked on your jeans while doing real work.
Besides, if you wear these things, you’re going to have to go with a more ‘rustic’ manicure, and who knows how much that will cost.
