Because with reports like this, the question OUGHT to be ‘why didn’t Obama fire him’?

Unless Obama was making use of these tactics for deliberate political purposes. And wouldn’t THAT put a whole new interesting spin on the “Nixon comparisons”?

Have the media who have doubled down, and doubled down again on their moral outrages about political conflicts of interest finally painted themselves into a corner?

The FBI is supposed to be investigating crimes. Not perpetrating them.

You KNOW this would be the grand-daddy of all stories on the news if they could lay this at Trump’s feet. Wall-to-wall coverage.

But wait– it was under Obama.

What to do? Behave like journalists, and expose government abuses detrimental to The People?

Or behave like Democrat operatives with Press passes, and flush it down the memory hole?

The FBI has illegally shared raw intelligence about Americans with unauthorized third parties and violated other constitutional privacy protections, according to newly declassified government documents that undercut the bureau’s public assurances about how carefully it handles warrantless spy data to avoid abuses or leaks.

James Comey unequivocally told lawmakers his agency used sensitive espionage data gathered about Americans without a warrant only when it was “lawfully collected, carefully overseen and checked.”

Once-top secret U.S. intelligence community memos reviewed by Circa tell a different story, citing instances of “disregard” for rules, inadequate training and “deficient” oversight and even one case of deliberately sharing spy data with a forbidden party.

The court also opined aloud that it fears the violations are more extensive than already disclosed.

The court isn’t the only oversight body to disclose recent concerns that the FBI’s voluntary system for policing its behavior and self-disclosing mistakes hasn’t been working.

The Justice Department inspector general’s office declassified a report in 2015 that reveals the internal watchdog had concerns as early as 2012 that the FBI was submitting ‘deficient” reports indicating it had a clean record complying with spy data gathered on Americans without a warrant.

…The most serious involved the NSA searching for American data it was forbidden to search. But the FBI also was forced to admit its agents and analysts shared espionage data with prohibited third parties, ranging from a federal contractor to a private entity that did not have the legal right to see the intelligence.

…Among the most serious additional concerns was the FBI’s failure for more than two years to establish review teams to ensure intercepts between targets and their lawyers aren’t violating the attorney-client privilege.

Remind me, who was President during that period, again? Maybe CNN could tell us — if they can take a moment’s break from looking for reasons to trash Trump.

One man once famously said that ‘People have got to know whether their President’s a crook!’

That’s actually true. And since the title of President remains after one is finished his term in office, it’s still a relevant issue.

There have been endless dead ends, retracted stories, innuendo, and debunked ‘dossiers’ in the Witch-hunt against Trump. Let’s look where the actual data is leading us.

Especially since the Media dutifully told us how scandalous it was for Trump to insinuate that there was any wrongdoing on the part of their beloved Obama PBUH (Press be upon him). They openly mocked Trump over his ‘wiretapping’ tweet.

These latest reports are explicitly affirming the main point of those ‘scandalous’ tweets. What was that point? Unlawful government intrusion on private communications… whatever the exact method may have been.

Going back to knowing whether our President was a Crook — and yes that famous quote specifically uses the phrase ‘obstructed justice in that context, let us you, dear reader: According to THESE documents, do Obama and his appointees have a LOT of questions they need to answer?

It might be time for some of them to put a good Criminal lawyer on retainer. Just be careful to pick one that won’t be forced to answer the same questions.
