The Trump administration’s new ‘Protecting Life in Global Assistance’ policy makes not only State Department funds fall under the Mexico City, but some Department of Defense money too, to a new total of $8.8 billion that can’t be used to promote abortions overseas.
Previously the policy only applied to family planning assistance provided by the State Department and USAID.
A senior administration official also made clear in a call with reporters Monday that the funding ban only applies to organizations that promote abortion as a means for family planning.
‘Referrals for the termination of a pregnancy in cases or rape, incest or endangerment of the life of the woman are not prohibited under this policy,’ the official said.A White House official also told the CBN reporter that, ‘The pro-life policy will apply to global health assistance funding for international health programs, such as those for HIV/AIDS, maternal and child health, malaria, global health security, and family planning and reproductive health.’ — DailyMail
Predictably, the liberals cried that it was anti-woman.
Because apparently to them, abortionists EVERYWHERE in the world have a right US tax dollars.

Speaking of ‘political bargaining chips’ doesn’t NARAL’s treatment of the unborn as political bargaining chips, not to mention their silence on gender-selective abortions (anti-woman) and mistreatment of women and gays by certain *cough* Protected groups *cough* … shouldn’t they be keeping that ‘glass houses’ advice in mind?
