Watch: 5 Electrocuted At Water Park – Heroes Give Their Lives To Save Kids

In a world where so many are ‘looking out for number one’, this is an amazing example of heroes stepping up.

It didn’t have the happy ending you would hope for, but it wasn’t for lack of trying.

Three kids were in trouble in the waterpark.

Somehow, an electrical current found it’s way into the water, and children got electrocuted.

Giving no thought to their own safety, the owner and his son (among others) sprang into action to try to save them.

It’s unclear whether they realized right away that the problem was electrical. But in trying to save the kids, they became casualties as well.

Here is news footage of medical aid desperately trying to revive them:

… hero owner and his son who gave their lives trying to stop the tragedy.
Mehmet Kaya, 58, and Kadir Kaya, 30, jumped into a pool at the attraction in Akyazi, north-west Turkey, to try and save three teenagers.
The three young victims were named as Gokay Yildirim, aged 12, Nurullah Unluturk, 15, and Mert Kalic, 17.

They may not have saved them, but they put the lives of those in need saving ahead of their own safety. That’s everyday heroics.

Whatever their lives may have looked like – for good or bad – This one act is what they will be most remembered for: that they gave their lives trying to save the lives of others.
