YO JOURNOS: Trump Schooled You On Inflation In Terms Even Biden’s Advisors Could Understand

Offers one heckuva contrast to that embarrassing display by Jared Bernstein

Earlier this month, Joe Biden’s ‘economic advisor’ — if we can call him that — embarrassed himself and anyone with an ounce of financial literacy as he stumbled his way through a question about the national debt and borrowing.

With Jared Bernstein as an economic advisor, it’s no wonder Bidenomics have unleashed nothing but unmitigated disaster on the same working class Joe claims to care so deeply about.

Trump’s clarity and confidence on all things financial present a stark contrast to Team Biden’s collective ineptitude.

Let’s begin with a recap of how badly Team Biden’s been whiffing it.

“The government definitely prints money, and it definitely lends that money … by selling bonds. Is that what they do? They sell bonds, yeah, they sell bonds. Right? Since they sell bonds, and people buy the bonds and lend them the money,” Bernstein, chair of the Council of Economic Advisers, said when asked why the federal government borrows currency it can print.
“I guess I’m just, I can’t really, I don’t get it. I don’t know what they’re talking about,” the economic adviser to Biden added. “Like, ’cause it’s like the government clearly prints money; it does it all the time. And it clearly borrows. Otherwise we wouldn’t be having [this] conversation. So I don’t think there’s anything confusing there.”
Bernstein’s comments came during an interview for the newly released documentary Finding the Money, which makes the case for “flipping our understanding of the national debt,” arguing that the debt is “not actually a debt for us taxpayers at all” but “simply a historical record of the number of dollars created by the U.S. federal government.”

That article unveils his dirty little secret. He has dabbled in economics for decades, reframing himself as an economic expert. But that is NOT his actual expertise or education. What did he go to school for? His BA is in music. His masters is social work, and his PhD is in philosophy. His ‘mastery’ of money is such that he isn’t entirely sure how to differentiate printing money vs. issuing government bonds.

And he’s an ‘economic advisor’ to the man in the position that used to be called ‘leader of the free world’.

Trump, on the other hand, has a VERY clear message on why Americans should care about inflation and how, under Biden, it has worked as an invisible tax that eroded everyone’s buying power.

If only there were some objective way to measure the impact of their policies on the average person. Oh wait, there IS!

Let Biden tell his lies all he wants. The data is NOT on his side.
