POST-DEBATE DRAMA: Chaos Continues With Obama, Hunter, Insider Leaks And Blame-Shifting

If he hoped a quick fundraiser could put the toothpaste back in the tube, he was VERY much mistaken

Joe Biden failed a test on debate night on a scale normally reserved for space travel or military blunders. He showed the world who he really is.

The White House and his inner circle have been very careful in managing the degree to which Biden had public exposure. He has had very few press engagements, even fewer long-form interviews. He reads frequently from note cards and teleprompters… leaning heavily on their help. Many have noticed and expressed concern.

We were told such concerns were a right-wing conspiracy theory. Behind closed doors, we were told, he is a certifiable genius whose boundless energy leaves staffers breathless in trying to keep up. Or something.

But eventually, an elected official will have to face the public.

On the debate stage, the curtain was pulled back and we all saw the kind of man who has been sworn in to make critical decisions for America and the world.

It was devastating, not because he looked feeble and confused. He has often looked feeble and confused. It was devastating because he seemed like a man who did not belong on that stage at all.

For a public who has been assured that the government has been in good and competent hands for the last three years, it became glaring obvious (perhaps for the first time, for some) that Joe Biden is only a shadow of the man we were told he is. Many of those who have told us otherwise have been lying to us.

The revelation of who Joe REALLY is — in the midst of an election cycle where the Democrat political machine has already shoulder-blocked anyone daring to challenge Biden for party leadership out of contention (including an honest-to-goodness Kennedy!) — has unleashed chaos in the party.

The Resulting Chaos

One aspect of the chaos is assigning blame where it belongs. Notice the use of the phrase ‘assigning blame’. These are Democrats we’re talking about. We have no expectation that anyone will accept responsibility for anything that goes wrong.

Members of Joe Biden’s family privately trashed his top campaign advisers at Camp David this weekend, blaming them for the president’s flop in Thursday’s debate and urging Biden to fire or demote people in his political high command.
[…] Among the family’s other complaints about the debate practice: that Biden was not prepared to pivot more to go on the attack; that he was bogged down too much on defending his record rather than outlining a vision for a second term; and that he was over-worked and not well-rested.

The blame was cast widely on staffers, including a criticism that too many people were involved last week at Camp David. Among those: Anita Dunn, the senior adviser who frequently has the president’s ear; her husband, Bob Bauer, the president’s attorney who played Trump in rehearsals at Camp David; and Ron Klain, the former chief of staff who ran point on the debate prep and previous cycles’ sessions. – Politico

Not surprisingly, Hunter really wants his dad to stay in politics, wanting the public to see the ‘scrappy’ fighter with a ‘command of the facts’ that he claims to know, instead of the flop we all saw on debate night.

Insiders and advisors, in turn, have deflected blame to CNN’s camera angles, lack of ‘fact-checking’ his opponent, and even the make-up artists.

TV and Print media party loyalists have already begun calling for Joe to have the dignity to withdraw from the race rather than getting ragdolled by Trump and taking his party down with him.

Officially, his party still stands behind him. Unofficially might be another story. And the breadcrumbs lead right back to Obama.

Just this morning, Tucker tweeted:

Of course, the logistics of an open convention after Joe Biden already has a majority of votes locked in, and his party actively refused to allow meaningful rivals to run against him has problems of its own.

Not the least of them is freezing out the will of their entire base in deciding who their leader is. First they were lied to about the competence of their leader. Then, when he faceplants in public because he is NOT the competent leader they insisted he was, party brass are trying to bait-and-switch someone else into Joe’s place… with zero consultation from the public.

All in the effort of ‘saving democracy’ from an existential threat. Or something.
