What Will It Take for Americans to Finally Acquire a Sense of Outrage?

There are three things that created and sustained our country for more than two centuries:  patriotism, faith, and love of liberty.

We have always honored patriotism by showing respect for the flag, pledging allegiance to it, and honoring those who died in its defense.

We have always held that we are a nation under God, that God endows our sacred civil rights, and that government serves to secure those rights, acting only with permission from the people, according to the Constitution.

We have promoted the cherished idea of liberty and justice for all by vowing to protect and defend the Constitution which provides a system of government designed to limit government so as to protect and promote liberty.

Does Mr. Obama respect the flag, promote patriotism, honor our Veterans, support the Constitution, or demonstrate respect for our faith traditions?

No, we have a president who disrespects the flag.  During the campaign five years ago he refused to wear a flag pin on his lapel saying such pins had become a substitute for “true patriotism.”  He was also found ignoring protocol and not placing his hand over his heart during the national anthem, a salute all patriots recognize as honoring the flag and our Veterans.

There was no official White House statement disavowing this desecration of our flag:
And now this outrage, news released just today:

For $35 you can purchase this from the Obama/Biden campaign.  To raise money for his vicious re-election campaign, this man stoops so low as to redesign our flag in his own image and sell it for personal gain, as if it’s some kind of personal keepsake.

Furthermore, can you honestly say this man honors our military when he cuts defense funding, sends them into harm’s way with no clear mission, making them abide rules of engagement that make them sitting ducks, and when he apologizes to our enemies and refuses to allow Marines to properly guard our embassies, even denying them ammunition while on guard duty?!

As if to add insult to injury, Obama denigrates our traditional Judeo-Christian faith in this You Tube video recorded during the 2008 campaign:

Obama mocks Christ and the Bible
Also, recall in an unguarded moment when he said this during the campaign, unaware he was being recorded as he spoke during a private fundraising effort, saying this about average Americans in the Midwest:

“And it’s not surprising then they get bitter, they cling to guns or religion or antipathy toward people who aren’t like them or anti-immigrant sentiment or anti-trade sentiment as a way to explain their frustrations.”

Finally, it’s no secret Obama thinks our Constitution is inadequate.  He believes it’s too negative, that it limits government too much.  He thinks we should interpret it according to the enlightened thinking at Harvard Law School.  He believes the Constitution should serve the interests of the government, not the People, because he thinks the People are too stupid to self-govern, that only smart people like him should govern.

Read the following outrageous statement Obama makes about the Constitution, the role of government and the need to redistribute wealth:

If you look at the victories and failures of the civil rights movement and its litigation strategy in the court. I think where it succeeded was to invest formal rights in previously dispossessed people, so that now I would have the right to vote. I would now be able to sit at the lunch counter and order as long as I could pay for it I’d be o.k. But, the Supreme Court never ventured into the issues of redistribution of wealth, and of more basic issues such as political and economic justice in society. To that extent, as radical as I think people try to characterize the Warren Court, it wasn’t that radical. It didn’t break free from the essential constraints that were placed by the founding fathers in the Constitution, at least as its been interpreted and Warren Court interpreted in the same way, that generally the Constitution is a charter of negative liberties. Says what the states can’t do to you. Says what the Federal government can’t do to you, but doesn’t say what the Federal government or State government must do on your behalf, and that hasn’t shifted and one of the, I think, tragedies of the civil rights movement was, um, because the civil rights movement became so court focused I think there was a tendency to lose track of the political and community organizing and activities on the ground that are able to put together the actual coalition of powers through which you bring about redistributive change. In some ways we still suffer from that.

These are the words of an anti-American communist: a radical willing to destroy the republic and the Constitution in order to “fundamentally transform the United State of American,” as he has promised.
When will Americans finally become outraged enough to replace this poser with a real President?
