Do Criminals Really Need Guns to Commit a Crime?

Last December I wrote about a mass knife attack in China where a man went a little cuckoo in the cabeza and went on a kid stabbing spree. Fortunately there were no fatalities during this violent event, but many were injured. Years ago, before this event happened, a man went on a stabbing rampage and killed one American tourist while seriously injuring his wife. This also happened in China. The man then leapt off of an ancient tower and died.

I’m sure that you have all heard about the recent slaying of a British soldier by those two knife wielding men in London. This was the most bizarre video I have ever seen. These guys had people with phone cameras coming over and having full conversations with them. One of the killers attempted to explain his actions for the audience. He attempted to justify his actions and apologized to the women that had to witness this slaughter. All this was happening while he was covered up in blood and brandishing the bloody knife as if it were just
another day at the office.

In what is being described as a potential copycat crime in Paris, another soldier was stabbed in the neck by a knife wielding man. This guy wasn’t as “brave” as our stabbers in London. Those guys didn’t even try to escape and they met their fate head on. This coward attacked from behind, stabbing this young soldier in the neck and then he fled the scene. According to reports the attacker just barely missed the carotid artery and the victim will survive.

So what is the point in discussing all these knife attacks? It is to show that where there is a will, there is a way. Gun rights opponents will argue that the number of fatalities would have been significantly greater had these people had access to guns.
