I don’t know about you, but I’m in scandal overload. If it wasn’t so pathetic it would be funny. The “most transparent administration ever” has become the most scandal ridden ever and I seriously doubt the shoes are done falling any time soon.
Fast and Furious: Unless you’ve been living under a rock, Fast and Furious has been a thorn in the side of AG Eric Holder for years now and now another whistleblower has come forward. To long story short it for you, ATF agents were ordered to allow guns to be trafficked across the border into Mexico. Those guns ended up in the hands of Mexican criminals who then used them to kill border patrol officers. When it all hit the fan, denials started at the bottom and went all the way to the top of the DOJ. DOJ response? Denials, lies and Holder being held in contempt of Congress.
Benghazi: After telling us “What difference does it make” and “it was a long time ago”, Congressional hearings have finally opened the can of worms that is Benghazi. Four Americans died after being left with woefully inadequate security and a President that cared so much he went to bed and then flew to Las Vegas to party with Beyonce and Jayzee.
U.S. Ambassador to Libya Chris Stevens, information officer Sean Smith, and security agents Glen Doherty and Tyrone Woods were left to their own defenses and were killed in two waves of attacks over eight hours’ time on the evening of Sept. 11, by Al Qaeda terrorists. In the days that followed, the American people were told it was a “spontaneous” attack that hinged on an inflammatory YouTube video about Islam.
Fact is, that was an outright lie from the top. Greg Hicks told investigators that a fighter jet buzz of the compound would have prevented one wave. He then said that Special Forces personnel were planning to board a C-130 flight but got a phone call when they were on their way to the flight telling them to stand down.
Our President’s response to this truth telling? It’s a “sideshow” I guess the head clown would know.
IRS: This is the scandal that just keeps on giving. What started as an allegation of a small office in Cleveland targeting “Tea Party” and “Patriot” groups has now blown up into a scandal that would put the “Teapot Dome” to shame. The IRS over a period of a few years, routinely scrutinized and demonized conservative groups and Christian groups that went beyond targeting “Tea Party” and “patriot”.
Groups were asked for membership lists, such as the names of minors who received educational materials from a Tennessee group that mentors high school students in conservative political philosophy, and asked very personal questions, including the content of prayers of right to life groups. Applications were delayed for years, while the applications of liberal or progressive groups who also applied for the same 501(c)4 classification sailed through in less than a month. Given that the only ones targeted were groups that opposed the politics and policies of the Obama Administration, it is apparent the “Chicago way” is alive and well.
