Releasing Terrorists For Peace: Bad Idea, Bad Precedent

This is a partial list … prisoner exchanges have also taken place twice in 1975, 1979, 1982, 1982, 1985, 1991, 1996, 1998, 2003, thrice in 2008, and 2011 (Gilad Shalit).

What is occurring right now is far worse for innocent Israelis and the national security of the Jewish State. The Israeli government has decided to voluntarily release … as a good will gesture to the PA and in order to jumpstart the “peace” talks, 104 “Palestinian” terrorist prisoners WITH Israeli blood on their hands.

On the list are Mahmoud Salam Saliman Abu Harabish and Adam Ibrahim Juma’a-Juma’a, who in 1988 murdered 26-year-old schoolteacher Rachel Weiss, her three young children, and a young soldier. The two hurled firebombs at a civilian bus, sending it up in flames; Weiss and her children ages 3, 2 and 9 months were unable to escape.

The soldier, David Delarosa, died trying to save Rachel and her children.

Releasing these maniacal monsters into Israeli society is a horrendous precedent that the Israeli government is setting. To do so simply to appease those who are looking to complete their last term agenda, while creating a legacy to win another useless Nobel Prize, is showing the Muslim world weakness, which is the antithesis of Israeli character.

Releasing prisoners in a prisoner exchange? Bad idea because it sets a pattern of victory for your enemies. Releasing prisoners as a “good will” gesture for peace talks? Even worse, because your enemies now have a solid precedent and precondition for future talks … which have always been for you, a dead end … in more ways than one.

Shalom through strength…
