Kentucky Senatorial Race for 2014: A Preview

The full text of the lawsuit can be viewed here: (See below) http://www.scribd.com/doc/156807093/COMPLAINT-AND-SUIT-FOR-INJUNCTION

It’s unclear how much of an impact Marksberry’s lawsuit will have on the Democratic Primary at this point, but as I mentioned earlier, Grimes is still the favorite in that area.

Now let’s focus on the general election.

It really depends on how the Republican Primary turns out. A Bevin upset could result in Grimes’ winning the Senatorial seat (thus being a repeat of last year’s Senatorial race, when Richard Murdoch upset Dick Lugar in the Indiana Republican Primary, then lost to Joe Donnelly in the general selection). Could Grimes be counting on that to happen? But at this point, McConnell seems to be the Senate victor in both the primary and the general election.

Regardless of the Republican Primary’s outcome, one thing is certain, the Republican Party of Kentucky is determined to keep Grimes from being elected to the Senate.

But as I mentioned before, it is too early to predict the outcome.
