Quite the Contrast! Upfront Ted Cruz Versus Our Mysterious President

The Left’s obsession of belittling and undermining prominent Conservative figures hit a new low this week as Senator Ted Cruz (R-TX) released his birth certificate. Upon releasing the official document to the Dallas Morning News on August 19, swarms of ridiculous to outlandish predictions swirled news outlets surrounding the Senator’s citizenship, and how this could affect a possible 2016 presidential bid.  

Since Cruz was born to a US citizen while in Canada, he technically has both Canadian and American citizenship. But he’s an American citizen, so what’s the problem? Well the problem is that the Left will snatch up any opportunity they possibly can to poke holes in the validity of a Conservative politician’s background or character to create outlandish theories and predictions.

Shortly after releasing his birth certificate and the field day about to ensue with the Left media.  Cruz went on the record about the matter:  “Now the Dallas Morning News says that I may technically have dual citizenship. Assuming that is true, then sure, I will renounce any Canadian citizenship. Nothing against Canada, but I’m an American by birth and as a U.S. Senator, I believe I should be only an American.” Well said, but next time don’t give a Left leaning news outlet so much credit and assume they know what they are talking about.

Contrast this sudden interest in a Republican’s background and qualifications to the sound of crickets (well, when they weren’t screaming racism) when a little known Senator from Illinois was eying a run for the highest office in this land that I love.  Does anyone care that Barack Obama has, at best, a questionable birth certificate?  Further, he has not released any of his college records, and hardly anyone he went to college with can even remember him.  What kind of grades did he receive, and an even more important question, who paid for it?  Was he given   preference points through Affirmative Action?  Well?  Do we have an Affirmative Action President, or don’t we?  Why do we still know so little about our Commander in Chief? 

“Facts are stubborn things; and whatever may be our wishes, our inclinations, or the dictates of our passion, they cannot alter the state of facts and evidence,” said a truly great president, John Adams.  And the facts and evidence in the current political climate are that Democrats are above reproach and Republicans are the haters.  Will they band together against the Dems and the leftist media that has not only targeted Cruz’s dual Canadian and American citizenship, but then criticized his renouncing of Canadian citizenship?
