The Good, Bad, Ugly and Awesome

Some good news in a bad world.

A new program for boys, Trail Life USA, was recently launched as an alternative to Boy Scouts. If your moral compass has a problem with sending your boy to an organization that after 100 years now supports the flagrant disregard of nature that exists with homosexuality, this program is for you. The motto for Trail Life is “Walk Worthy”.

More than 1200 men from 44 states participated in the launch of the program. Former scouts and scout leaders are behind the effort, and with no shame announced “there’s no mistake that Trail Life USA is based on the Bible” and “It’s God-honoring. It’s very Christ-centered.” Click the link above for more information and to show your support for this organization.

Wrap your head around this logic.

Here is the headline: “Obama’s Thoughtful Diplomatic Triumph on Syria Leaves His Critics Speechless”.

The article claims, according to the White House, Obama has been working with Russia since last year on a diplomatic solution to Syria. It also claims that if somehow, someway Syria does not comply with said resolutions, its Russia’s fault.

I believe the critics of Obama’s foreign policy are speechless because it resembles the diplomatic actions taken by 2nd graders in a sandbox. The left has become absolutely intellectually dishonest. The right hand has no idea what the left hand is doing in Washington. A year-wide Red Line, a muddled purpose, no clear goals and all the while arming rebels that share the same ideology of those who perpetrated 9/11. Yes, we are speechless because we do not believe anyone can be this stupid.

Can’t let it go.

Racism exists because_____________. You fill in the blank. A new “study” shows that counties with high concentrations of slavery 150 years ago are now filled with “conservatives that express colder feelings towards African Americans.” That is to say if you live in a county that once held large slave populations, you will most likely “identify as a Republican, express opposition to race-coded policies such as affirmative action, and express greater racial resentment towards African Americans.”

I have to wonder what the odds are of seven, eight or nine generations still living in the same county? With nothing scientific to back it up, I say its slim. My conclusion: it must be in the water. Water our government regulates, so its really the government’s fault. That explanation is about as scientific as the ones these liberal researchers conducted. I didn’t even stay at a Holiday Inn Express.

So, lets finish out with some more good news.

House Republican leadership is furious with ultra-conservative Sens. Mike Lee (R-UT) and Ted Cruz (R-TX). These gentlemen must be doing something right because they are sure ticking off all the right, and left of right, congressional critters.

How far we have progressed and digressed at the same time from those things that matter. Following a document that was written to restrain government and ensure that the rights of the people are not infringed upon by a small group of know-it-alls gets you enemies on both sides of the aisle.

Ron Collins

Ron Collins was born in '70. Raisin' chickens and shootin' groundhogs by 5. A little bit hillbilly, a little bit city boy, but always an unashamed and politically incorrect American. Best advice he took from his father: 'Find your heroes among American History not Hollywood or the sports arena.'
