C’est Si Bon*: French Court Says Burqa Ban Stands!

One of the most popular things Sarkozy did in office was Banning the Burqa from being worn in public in France. The Act Prohibiting Concealment of the Face in Public Space. (Loi interdisant la dissimulation du visage dans l’espace public) passed in 2010. The purpose of the ban was to protect women from being forced to cover their faces AND to uphold France’s secular values (which, coincidentally, makes citizens less vulnerable to Jihadist attacks).

Protests, whines, etc. took place against the ban and finally it was challenged legally. But to no avail…a French court Wednesday convicted a young woman, Cassandra Belin, 20, for wearing a full-face Islamic veil in public and threw out her bid to have the country’s controversial burqa ban declared unconstitutional.

For someone from a “peaceful” ideology, this perp didn’t behave civilly. Belin was convicted for wearing a veil in public AND for insulting and threatening three police officers at the time of her arrest, which incited two days of rioting in the town of Trappes, close to Paris, in July, 2013. She received: One-month suspended prison sentence for the clash with the police, and a 150-euro ($200) fine for wearing the veil…and a police record free of charge…

This outcome is very encouraging for the West. Is it possible we are again seeing a wee bit of the fortitude of Charles “the Hammer” Martel rising up in France?

Of course, it’s doubtful that a man of such fortitude as Martel would be allowed to do anything against this protected segment of Western society today. For he would surely be strangled by multiculturalism/political correctness.

This French fortitude may very well be infectious…the Parliament in the UK has introduced and is scheduled to do a second reading of a Bill (Face Coverings [Prohibition] Bill 2013-14) on February 28, 2014. That’s a huge step in the right direction…the antithesis of the path Cameron and his ilk have been on.

This glimmer of courage and wisdom being revealed in the courts in France (and being contagious), is a heartlift to those fighting in the Vanguard of this battle, beneath the radar. A battle by an enemy that utilizes laws meant to preserve freedom, and fashioning them into weapons of war against liberty, aka Lawfare. It’s a particularly sinister type of warfare, done without firing a literal shot. And it leaves the losers cowering in fear, shame and guilt.

My hope and prayer for France and the rest of the EU, is that they rise up…even at this late date…and do their duty to preserve what is left of their freedom. The freedom their ancestors fought to defend…and that they do this before they must start again as slaves, looking for a captain to lead a revolt. ( And if the Mohammedans win…they will surely be slaves…if they’re lucky.)

So Félicitations (congrats) and WOO HOO to this sage court. May all their decisions, concerning this ideology, have as much chutzpah!!

Vive la vérité (long live truth)!
