RINO-ISM (Republicans in Name Only-Ism): A Plague We All Fear

Many Americans who are members of the GOP or the “Grand Old Party”, are left in a clouded haze these days. Are you wondering what has happened to the Republican Party? With the ideology sounding much more progressive than conservative, elected officials’ constituents are fired up and demanding answers.

In the past 15 years, there has been a noticeable shift in political ideology among the establishment Republicans as well as the Democrats. The party once known as Republican has shifted left of center and with the stances some elected officials are making can now be considered Liberal ideology. The Democrats, once known for being Liberal, can now be considered Progressive.

The internal war that the establishment Republicans are waging with each other, the base, and conservatives is embarrassing to say the least. Instead of banding together with Conservatives to fight the Socialist agenda that has been cast upon America, they are embracing it.

The establishment Republicans have shed the principals of what it means to be the GOP. They have abandoned the base, ignored the Constitution, and will do “anything to win”. They will attack anyone who they feel may be a threat to their own selfish power trips.

The “it’s my turn to run” mentality, as was demonstrated with John McCain and Mitt Romney, doesn’t win elections. The GOP doesn’t have support from the base anymore to blindly support that philosophy. Americans are not going to support an “unwinnable” candidate. The sheeple have opened their eyes and are no longer blindly following the wolves to the losers’ den!

The term RINO (Republican in Name Only) is a term that has become a household and media term that is used to describe the establishment Republicans for not being true Conservatives. These RINOs may talk a big game when they are pining to get elected, claiming to support Conservative ideology, but ultimately change their stance once they are elected. There is a long list of these kinds of wolves in sheep’s clothing. The John McCains, Lindsey Grahams, Chris Christies, and John Boehners of the world would whole-heartedly disagree with being called a RINO; but Americans know their track records, especially when it comes to big government ideas such as Medicaid expansion and illegal immigration.

One bully who attacks Conservatives such as Ted Cruz and the Tea Party is Steve LaTourette. LaTourrette was a representative of the 19th and 14th congressional districts in Ohio. He started a group called “Main Street Republicans”, whose main goal is to do away with Ted Cruz and the Tea Party. His trifling little PAC is funded by Wall Street and the Liberal Labor Unions, with at least 20% of the PAC’s funding coming from them! The establishment hacks and the Unions have a common enemy keeping them from world domination, and that’s the Tea Party.

LaTourette has been running his mouth saying, “The Tea Party has overstayed their welcome in Washington, and should be shown the door in next year’s congressional elections”. Using terms such as “[we will be] aggressive” and “get in their faces” when describing how they will try and systematically take down the Conservative faction of the party.

LaTourette has also gone on the record with Larry Elder, when Elder was a guest host for CNN’s Crossfire. LaTorrette was quoted as saying, “Republicans can win the game if they act like Republicans. And that doesn’t mean acting like the Tea Party, it means acting like Republicans who care about economic freedom—or individual liberty, Republicans should be open to more tax increases”. He continued saying that Republicans needed to “generate revenue”. When Elders said he really meant “more taxes”, LaTourette tried to lie and say it was revenue but ultimately conceded and admitted he meant more taxes by saying “Where else is the revenue going to come from?” Increased taxes? Maybe he should have a coming out party and finally join the Democrats!

LaTourette has fightin’ words for the Tea Party saying, “Hopefully we’ll go into eight to ten races and beat the snot out of them”. He sounds like he’s on the playground and just got beat up by little Teddy Cruz!

The Tea Party and Conservatives have been accused of trying to “cannibalize” the GOP, calling Cruz “reprehensible” for forcing Republicans to bring the bill to the floor to raise the debt ceiling, yet, when Republicans gained control of government in the 2000’s, what did they do? They expanded government! They didn’t shrink it as would be a Conservative principal. Here’s a little clue: Medicaid expansion and supporting amnesty among others, are not conservative principals, yet many of the turncoats have supported these with fervor.

The aggressor sets the rules and if groups like “Main Street Republicans” are going to put the call to war out there, Conservatives have no choice but to answer it.

Something the establishment still has yet to realize is that the Trojan horse they used to utilize when taking down Liberal opponents has been pillaged and burned. They have black hearts, a very confused ideology, and have abandoned the people who got them elected. This is in large part why they can’t win elections and why the “Great Divide” has formed within the party. As sad as it is, this truly has become Conservatives VS RINOs in the GOP knockout game. Which corner of the ring will you be in?
