Stomach-Churning: the Hypocrisy of the Left

Democrats are all about “fairness.” Unfortunately, Democrats believe that what is fair for me is not fair for thee. This is hypocrisy of the first order and Democrats have a PhD in hypocrisy. Hypocrisy is defined as a pretense of having a virtuous character, moral or religious beliefs or principles, etc., that one does not really possess.
They must believe the American people have memories of a banana slug. The examples are, almost, too numerous to document in this article. The most egregious are the statements President Obama made as a senator. As a Senator he campaigned vigorously against the Iraq war as well as Guantanamo Bay but as a President, he has pursued a policy of military aggression without the consent of Congress and Guantanamo Bay is still open. He sponsored legislation to make government more transparent but as a President, he has presided over the most secretive administration in modern history. As a Senator he excoriated President Bush for increasing the national debt but as a president, he has increased the debt more than all the preceding Presidents combined. As a senator, he sponsored legislation to increase energy independence but as a President he has declared a war on coal and forced the closure of over two hundred coal fired power plants. He has delayed the implementation of the Keystone XL pipeline both of which also cost America thousands of jobs and increased America’s dependence on foreign oil.
Democrats, consistently, blocked President G. W. Bush’s judicial nominations but Democrats screamed bloody murder and Harry Reid changed Senate rules to allow a simple majority to confirm President Obama’s judicial nominations, the so called “nuclear option.” He tried to use recess nominations to pack the National Labor Relations Board with union partisans even though the Senate was still in session but that was struck down by the courts. Unfortunately, because of Harry Reid’s “nuclear option,” he got his way.
Famously, the most hypocritical lie, perhaps of all time, is President Obama’s statement that, if you like your insurance, you can keep it, period. This was made with the full knowledge that it was a lie. Of course this was preceded by Nancy Pelosi’s absurd statement that, “We have to pass the law so we can find out what’s in it.”
The Democrats have been so hypocritical and lied so many times, they have lost all credibility. Unfortunately, the lap dog media has contributed to the hypocrisy by repeating the Democrats’ lies like they were the truth and without any attempt at verifying the veracity of what the Democrats put forth. The press has abdicated their role as the watch dog of the government and become the Quislings of the twenty first century.
The most hypocritical act of all is that President Obama requires Congress obey laws he, arbitrarily, decides without Congress’s approval, but believes he does not have to obey laws Congress passes and he signs.
