So Predictable: Rick Perry Tells Truth–Left’s Panties in a Bundle

As reported here on Clash Daily, last week, Texas governor Rick Perry made another foray into California, trolling for businesses smart enough to get out of the formerly Golden State, now turned into a liberal hell, where entrepreneurs are suffocating, thanks to high taxes and oppressive regulations. While he was in San Francisco, he sent a lot of mush-headed liberals into orbit by his response to a question regarding so-called “same sex marriage.” The moderator at the Commonwealth Club of California, Greg Dalton, asked him whether he considers homosexuality a disorder. What did he say that caused people on both coasts to choke on their roasted balsamic radicchio and brie flatbread? He simply stated the obvious; specifically, “Whether or not you feel compelled to follow a particular lifestyle or not, you have the ability to decide not to do that,” Perry said. “I may have the genetic coding that I’m inclined to be an alcoholic, but I have the desire not to do that, and I look at the homosexual issue the same way.”

It’s important to understand the reason that the Left had a cow over a comment that is simply common sense and in any rational universe should not be the least bit controversial. His comments were very threatening to two of the Left’s most important interests, destroying the traditional family and exposing their agenda.

Destroying traditional marriage and the family is a critical step in reaching the socialist utopia that is the Left’s wet dream. It’s essential that the grey mice masses controlled by their betters in the ruling class understand that their only loyalty is to the all-powerful State, not some sentimental collection of people related by sacred commitment and blood, commonly known as a “family.”

Even more important, the Left must quash any analysis of, and silence any discussion about, the policies that they advocate because if people were actually informed about what they want to do, they’d never win another election. In fact, any politician advocating implementing their destructive ideas would be lucky not to end up like Mussolini, last century’s Obama. So, they have to silence anyone who connects the dots for people.

In the case of Gov. Perry’s comments, he was responding to an argument that militant homosexual activists have been making for at least 40 years. They claim that it’s “unfair” to “discriminate” against them by refusing to allow two people of the same gender to enter into a legal marriage because they can’t help their unnatural desires. It’s genetic! Don’t you see how unfair it is to not let two guys get married if they were born that way, you mouth-breathing dolt?

Actually, I don’t. Simply because something is genetic, doesn’t mean we should encourage and even celebrate it. We have certainly been told by “experts” that there is a genetic component to the propensity for drug addiction or alcoholism. In the last few decades, it has become fashionable to medicalize nearly every pathological behavior, including shoplifting, gambling, and overeating. Does that mean we should encourage those behaviors, characterize them as simply alternate lifestyles, and pretend that they are functional ways for people to live? Would anyone seriously suggest that is what we should do? Of course not. It’s ridiculous. Gov. Perry was absolutely right, but the Left can’t dare let people think about it long enough to realize it. So, they do the Alinsky routine on anyone who tells the truth. They demonize, and try to marginalize anyone who uses logic and common sense to expose the idiocy of their ideas.

As I said, in any rational universe, it would be blatantly obvious how ludicrous it is to consider Gov. Perry’s statement controversial or outrageous, and the suggestion that he’s a stone cold bigot and “hater” would not resonate politically with the vast majority of voters. Sadly, though, in our numbed down and dumbed down America, it does resonate with many who have been turned into dullards by the Lame Stream Media, their own passivity, and the fecklessness of those who refuse to stand up for traditional marriage. So, while Gov. Perry was right on policy, logic and common sense, he was wrong politically.

Fortunately, there are still some who will bravely stand up to the all out assault on marriage, like the National Organization for Marriage. Tomorrow they are holding their March for Marriage in Washington, D.C. If you can’t be there, you can participate in the virtual march here

There is always the possibility that Gov. Perry was just yanking the Left’s chain, knowing that he was in San Francisco, and no, I am not referring to the chains attached to the dog collars worn by scantily-clad men dancing to Donna Summer music on the back of flat bed trucks during their “pride” parades, but I do apologize for putting that image in your heads.
