COMMIES! If HUAC–and ‘H’wood Blacklist’–Existed Today

In the 1940’s, times were extremely different. America was full of pride and patriotism, it’s citizens beaming because they truly felt blessed to be Americans. It was a time of innocence, when kids were allowed to be kids, playing from the early morning until your mom called for you to come home. A time when the American flag was a symbol and beacon of hope for every soul who laid eyes on her.
America was tough, and so were its people. They knew what it meant to have a work ethic and knew that if you applied it you could achieve the American dream. Americans were also unified- displaying solidarity towards his fellow man. The patriotism and loyalty was strong, and no person was to threaten the country in any way for being disloyal.
In 1938, the organization HUAC was born. HUAC stood for “The House Committee on Un-American Activities”. HUAC was formed and operated by the United States House of Representatives, to specifically go after anyone who was a Nazi or Communist sympathizer living in America. The people who were practicing “Un-American” activities it would go after like a pitbull craving a jugular vein. It investigated public employees, private citizens, and anyone suspected of having Communist or Nazi ties.
Perhaps the most famous “witch hunt” as it was referred to was “The Hollywood Blacklist”.
Many Hollywood producers, actors, screenwriters, and directors found themselves at the mercy of the committee, often becoming the center of a hot investigation including legendary screenwriter Arthur Miller. In 1947, the “Hollywood Blacklist” conducted its first investigation against ten writers and directors who would later be known as the “Hollywood Ten”. They refused to give a testimony to the HUAC committee and were found to be in contempt. They were accused of having communist ties and incorporating communist-sympathizing messages in their films. HUAC thought the liberal messages being portrayed in films threatened the very existence of the traditional values in American society and was an attempt to stop the sterilization of those ideals.
The Hollywood elite were not immune. Many actors who were accused of being Communist never recovered from the allegations and were shunned by society and even their own families. It was believed that Communism was the biggest threat to America at that time. Amazing isn’t it? If you were even rumoured to be engaging in anti-American extracurricular activities, they investigated you. Being a pinko wasn’t tolerated as America protected it’s own.
Fast forward to 2014. HUAC no longer exists, but what if it did? What would America look like? Would goons like Michael Moore be able to exist in Hollywood? How about Bill Ayers? Would he be featured on Fox News — let alone teach in our universities? Would Jay-Z and Beyonce be able to co-hort and party it up in Cuba as the communist ambassadors they are? Would Dennis Rodman have made his infamous trip to North Korea to carry on a bromance with Kim Jong-Un and his basketball buds because Americans just don’t understand? How about Sean Penn? Would he be able to spread propaganda in the name of charity and suffrage? The list of examples goes on and on.
Perhaps one of the most famous of these fine paradigms of being a pinko would be a person who is most definitely rumored to have Communist ties. Not just any Communist ties, but was raised from birth by Communists to embrace everything that encompasses red.
Infiltrating the highest position of power based on deceit. A person who would have surely been found guilty by the HUAC committee for committing ultimate crimes against America, spreading propaganda, and being very “un-American” in more ways than one.
He has managed to make his way into the White House not as leader, but as a squatter. Of course this person goes by the name of Obama who is no more traditional American than a burrito is!
In the 1940’s and 1950’s, communists were seen for exactly what they were and were dealt with accordingly. Today, the uninformed elitists don’t care who influences them or their children or even if their freedoms are taken away. They celebrate what they consider to be an icon…or their hero…or the “first black president”, not a communist menace. If it’s popular with the masses, it’s got to be good right?
Maybe when the sheeple begin to see red and feel the crushing weight of communist ideals fall upon their own lives, maybe then they will take a stand and join the revolution.
