REMOVING THE THREAT: Nation’s Dealing with Islam

In a previous column, I called on peaceful Muslims to step forward to loudly and frequently condemn the mass slaughter of all non-Muslims (and non-Sunni Muslims) perpetrated by Sunnis operating under the black flag of the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (ISIS/ISIL/IS). I also called for Muslims to reform their faith.

I want to go further, and say that until Muslims rise up against this violence, and the reform is evident and well under way, we in America must take steps to preserve our way of life.

Geert Wilders, the Dutch politician who was excoriated for his film Fitna by worldwide media and less-than-peaceful Muslims (his life was threatened, of course), recently spoke before the Dutch Parliament. In his speech he laid out steps the Netherlands should take to rid themselves of the threat of Islam. Every peaceful nation should adopt the following policies (paraphrased and modified):

First, all Americans — elected and appointed officials included — must acknowledge that Islam is the problem, not a select percentage of “radicals” or what are thought to be ignorant practitioners of an otherwise peaceful religion. If anyone wishes to counter my argument, saying the Koran calls for Muslims to be peaceful, keep in mind what my fellow Clashmate, Audrey Russo, said in her column recently:

The Quranic doctrine of abrogation is the belief that when two verses are contradictory, the one that is revealed later chronologically abrogates or cancels out the earlier one and is at least similar or superior to the earlier one. Verses of abrogation: Sura 2:106 & Sura 16:101. This destroys the claim of “moderate” Muslims that those who commit terror are “misunderstanders” of Islam.

By the way, does it matter why Muslims are murdering non-believers? In war, who believes we should lower our weapons if a terrorist can point to a book for his justification? This is murder. No one cares why.

Second, any US citizen engaging in jihad against America or her allies on foreign soil will have his or her citizenship forfeited immediately and forever. If they are apprehended, they will be tried for treason and if found guilty, put to death. If they engage in jihad on US soil, they will be tried for treason and if found guilty, put to death.

Third, all mosques or other Muslim groups or organizations operating on US soil that receive funding or any other financial assistance from any known source linked to terrorism are closed immediately and forever.

Fourth, immigration from any Islamic country will be closed. Anyone claiming asylum will not be given access without a thorough investigation. Anyone from said countries currently in the US on a visa or work permit will be required to leave upon the respective expiration date. Again, anyone already in the United States claiming asylum but has not been properly vetted will undergo an investigation before being allowed to stay. Visa overstayers who are caught are immediately deported without trial, and are never allowed to return. Any Muslim assisting US authorities in the fight against ISIS or its supporters will be given asylum if requested (God have mercy on our souls for our abandoning people like Dr. Shakil Afridi).

Fifth, immediately build a secure and guarded wall, fence, or combination thereof on our border with Mexico. Work with our allies the Canadians, who seem to be awakening to this threat faster than we, on securing their shores.

As to any and all Muslims in the United States not pursuing jihad, they should be afforded the full support and protection of all local, state, and federal government agencies from accusations of and recriminations from apostasy.

In his Dutch Parliament video Wilders says not only do we let jihadists leave but that we encourage them to go, and take friends and supporters with them. I disagree. Why let them escape to a safe area so they can live to fight another day? No. Charge active or conspiring jihadis and if convicted, imprison them. If the case calls for it, put them to death.

The above are drastic measures. However, we are not in a dispute over trade rights in the Dutch West Indies or mango tariffs in Fiji. We are in the fight of our lives. The sooner we acknowledge, the fewer atrocities we will endure.

Islam is ISIS. ISIS is Islam. Far too many of them have declared war on us. Courtesy and freedom demand we respond in kind.
