Awad went on to tell us we should all “love our neighbors”. Would you be surprised to learn Awad is a front man for terrorism?
As to equating Jihad with terrorism: The Qur’an teaches that Muslims must fight and kill unbelievers “wherever you overtake them” until “religion is Allah’s,” i.e. Islamic law rules all societies (2:190-193). They must fight unbelievers “until there is no fitnah and [until] the religion, all of it, is for Allah” (8:39). Muslims are to fight unbelievers and “prepare against them whatever you are able of power and of steeds of war by which you may terrify the enemy of Allah and your enemy and others besides them whom you do not know [but] whom Allah knows” (8:60) — Robert Spencer, authority on the Qur’an and the Hadith.
Unbelievers include all non-Muslims—-Christians, Buddhists, Jews, Hindus and so on–also including Muslims deemed unworthy or apostate by authoritative Islam, whether Sunni or Shi’ite.
This is a most critical time. People must understand we live in an ocean of deception. In the aftermath of the Paris terrorist attacks, the apologists for Jihad have unleashed a renewed propaganda campaign. The essential message of that campaign is the same old politically-correct mantra, the tried and true guilt trip, the core lie, the continuous deception. It takes a three-fold approach:
1. Islam is a religion of peace.
2. Terrorists are the extreme minority, they do not represent authoritative Islam.
3. Do nothing about violent Jihad because you will provoke an unjust backlash and you will thereby hurt the poor and the moderate, causing division and more violence.
People in the West have fallen for these lies for decades, and in return for our tolerance, accommodation and “understanding”, we have seen nothing but increases in violent Jihad, globally: so much for heeding the advice of the moderates.
At the moment, everyone is focused on freedom of speech and the press given the attack on the French satirical magazine. But it is more important to realize that the ultimate goal of violent Jihad is the imposition of Sharia worldwide. Sharia destroys not only freedom of speech and press, it destroys ALL freedom, allowing the Islamic state (a vicious theocracy) complete reign and rule, an incomparably violent dictatorship controlling every aspect of life, from diet to dress, from thought to action.
Westerners who value liberty must never forget the thrust of Jihad is the imposition of Sharia law by force. To the Islamist, this is a holy quest, one ordered by God, and so any means are justified to achieve the end. Those means include all forms of terrorism, regional war, genocide, beheading, violence on a global scale, murder of targeted private citizens, infiltration, activism, massive migration to Western countries, and deception and media manipulation.
Another truth in this modern world of global electronic deception and propaganda: armies of “moderate” Islamic spokespeople are in reality radical supporters of Jihad. Deception is a key element in the Jihadist set of tactics. Latest case in point, as cited already: Nihad Awad, the executive director of CAIR, appearing recently on Al Jazeera, a Muslim network constantly airing the interview worldwide.
Keep in mind, Awad has long been a Palestinian activist directly supportive of Hamas, a designated terrorist organization committed to the complete destruction of Israel and the eradication of the Jews. The UAE recently designated CAIR a terrorist organization. One must understand CAIR was created by the Muslim Brotherhood, a Jihadist organization committed to global Sharia, which requires the conquest of the West, the annihilation of Israel, and the defeat of the U.S.
We would be wise to understand the true nature of Jihad, and realize devils like Awad work to deceive, despite the details. Also, note that Jihadists have learned well from the secular left, for if you take a stand against Jihad, embracing the truth, you are immediately labeled a “hater”, a “racist”, and a “bigot”.
There really is no need to quibble with people like Awad. All we have to do is read their book, and observe their behavior. Then the question becomes a simple matter of deciding how best to utterly defeat them. Another taste from the Qur’an: Allah tells Muhammad to “fight against the disbelievers and the hypocrites and be harsh upon them. And their refuge is Hell, and wretched is the destination” (9:73). The followers of Muhammad should imitate him in this: “O you who have believed, fight those adjacent to you of the disbelievers and let them find in you harshness” (9:123). For “Muhammad is the Messenger of Allah; and those with him are forceful against the disbelievers, merciful among themselves” (48:29).
The only outstanding question then is this: does the West love liberty and life more than Jihadists love enslavement and death? Time will tell. The problem: time is running out.
