SCRIPTURES FORETOLD IT LONG AGO: Rage, Rebellion, Reconciliation All Around Us

The mouse at the head of the joint chiefs squeaks.

The devil’s diplomat in the White House wags his tongue and shakes his finger at Congress, and the people. He levels an accusation here, delivers a lie there, and plays another round while the world crumbles, heads roll, and children are crucified.

The Congress–that criminal class of clowns–devises new ways to rob people, grab more power, and drive us to financial ruin. Politicians promise, and promise, and promise, perjure themselves, again, then parade their platforms.

DEA agents drink, drug and dally on the cartels’ credit card, and their bosses yawn.

The courts, consumed with deliberations over sodomy, infanticide and eroding civil liberties, has no time for the Constitution.

Journalists lie, spread rumors, ignore news, promote propaganda, and sneer at common folk.

The churches sponsor extravaganzas to rival Las Vegas, preaching self-improvement, self-worth, self-aggrandizement, self-image, self-esteem and self-indulgence: the satanic sermons.  “Did God really say . . . ?”   “Surely you will not die!”  “Don’t be a hater.”  “Never fear: all will be saved.”

The schools are brothels peddling drugs and the religion of secular humanism.  A teacher punches a student, or a student punches a teacher, and then bullets fly, as the bus carts off another group of girls to the abortion mill.  It’s called “education reform.”

Hollywood luminaries sparkle like stars, leading youth astray, shining glamorously on the red carpet, but when the lights go out, suicide.  The rich and famous preach self-reliance, leading only to self-destruction.

Families?  Where have all the families gone?  People related to one another occupy the same space, for a few years, yes, but do they talk to each other, gather for dinner, work together, love each other, encouraging one another to good works?

No.  The sad old world groans under unbearable burden, self-inflicted misery, and gathering storms.

It was all foretold centuries ago, and it will all be dealt with, as prophesied:

II Timothy 3

3 But mark this: There will be terrible times in the last days. 2 People will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boastful, proud, abusive, disobedient to their parents, ungrateful, unholy, 3 without love, unforgiving, slanderous, without self-control, brutal, not lovers of the good, 4 treacherous, rash, conceited, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God— 5 having a form of godliness but denying its power. Have nothing to do with such people.

6 They are the kind who worm their way into homes and gain control over gullible women, who are loaded down with sins and are swayed by all kinds of evil desires, 7 always learning but never able to come to a knowledge of the truth. 8 Just as Jannes and Jambres opposed Moses, so also these teachers oppose the truth. They are men of depraved minds, who, as far as the faith is concerned, are rejected. 9 But they will not get very far because, as in the case of those men, their folly will be clear to everyone.
