DEAR BRUCE: Once a Dude, Always a Dude
Bruce Jenner was the all American athlete. The ultimate picture of strength and manliness. He worked and trained hard to become the symbol of excellence dawning on the cover of the prestigious Wheaties box.
Bruce was at one time a household name and in recent months has become a household name again, but this time for reasons far less valiant. The man that children once admired and strived to be like, in many eyes, has fallen from grace. Jenner has revealed that since he was a child, he has felt as though he was a girl inside of his brain and the “soul of a female”.
He was born with his God given parts that biologically makes him male, but had trouble identifying with those parts. The politically correct term is called “gender dysphoria” or “gender identity” disorder, labels used by psychologists, to describe the confusion the person is having about their sex and gender. It is classified as a medical disorder and the treatment that many choose is gender re-assignment surgery.
Many transgendered people who have the reassignment surgery have deep regrets. Saying that the satisfaction from the change is only temporary much like a drunk at a bar. They eventually wake up with a hangover. The surgery deals with the physical aspects, but not the mental issues.
Bruce Jenner hid his problem for a very long time. He began taking female hormones and electrolysis to remove his body hair in the 1980’s. He would even wear woman’s underwear and nylons under his suites when he would go to speaking engagements. Despite the obvious intense desire to be a woman, Bruce Jenner still made the decision to get married and have children. In all, Bruce was married three times and fathered 6 children.
His four older children have said in an interview that during the 80’s, Jenner was an absent father and disappeared again when he married Kris Kardashian. Jenner claims that during that time he was suffering from depression and a feeling of isolation trying to deal with his identity crisis.
He knowingly had these serious issues, yet he married women and fathered children from whose lives he was absent. Hardly seems “brave” or “courageous” at all. That’s called neglect and bad parenting, something for which, surely, he is terribly sorry.
The family didn’t have a choice. They were thrust into the delusional world of Bruce Jenner at no fault of their own, which is extremely selfish and reckless, which has obviously affected them to recent days. If Jenner wanted to become a woman fine, but don’t involved innocent women and children destroying their lives.
In the interview with Diane Sawyer, Jenner revealed that he is a conservative, which caused quite a stir. The poster boy from progressives everywhere comes out of the closet as a Republican; this surely made some pachoulli-wearing, Starbucks queens heads explode. Here they were thinking that old Brucey was taking one for the team, and all along he was playing for the enemy. The reactions were a mixed bag of nuts when it came to support from the Republicans.
Rick Santorum said; “If he feels like a woman, then he’s a woman”. When backlash ensued, Santorum backtracked saying; “It was an attempt to deflect and focus on the principle of loving everyone. It was meant to express empathy not a change in public policy.” Just like a Republican to be for it, before they are against it.
Many, including those in the media, are trying to push a narrative that is simply wrong. They are referring to Jenner as a “she”. Whether the argument is God or pure science, the fact of the matter remains that Bruce Jenner will never be a woman. No matter how much he removes or adds to his body, no matter what gender he identifies with in his brain, he will always be a male.
It’s almost an insult to biological women and downgrades what it is to be female. Before long, it will be against the law to call people like Jenner a man. They are already trying to get away with allowing a transgendered man to use a woman’s restroom even if the person who is the real woman objects.
Don’t force your beliefs, views, ideology, or religion on anyone. A person has the freedom to be whatever they want, but a person also has the freedom to reject it.
