DONALD TRUMP, CONSERVATIVE? Is There ‘Walk’ to Go with the ‘Talk’?

Written by Andrew Allen on August 17, 2015

So what if Donald Trump used to be a Democrat before he became a Conservative. Yours truly used to be off the charts left-wing. No kidding, my bookshelves at one time in my life included Marx and Tokar. I was way out there but came around. Maybe Trump did too.

But if he did…

What has he actually done that proves he’s a Conservative?

Sure, he runs around and makes a lot of populist speeches. And like Juan Williams, Geraldo Rivera, and countless other non-conservatives, Trump frequents the guest spot on any number of Fox News shows.

Has he donated money to Conservative candidates before?

How about charities? Which does he donate to and are they ideologically right of center?

Before this year, what issues did he not simply stake out a position on but actually did tangible, public things to further a particular point of view?

When he rocks out does he include Ted Nugent in his list of favorite guitarists?

In short, does he walk the walk this Trump guy?
