On Friday the Attorney General of the United States made it undeniably clear that her priority (and the President’s) was not the safety and security of American citizens, but rather that of Muslims here, whether they be citizens, tourists, or terror cell organizers infiltrated into our populace with malicious intent.
Loretta Lynch sternly promised a Muslim “advocacy group” that she would take “aggressive action” against anyone who used “anti-Muslim rhetoric” that “edges toward violence”. In other words, Muslim extremists can randomly shoot hundreds of helpless American citizens to death with real bullets on American soil, but nobody here had better shoot off their mouth about it in response or the Attorney General will come after you. Islamic extremists can blow up little children watching a sporting event in Boston, but there had damn-well better not be any heated comments about it directed at the group responsible, not on Loretta’s watch! Let that truth sink in for a moment.
President Obama has obstinately refused to acknowledge the motivation behind these fanatical slaughters around our nation and the rest of the Western world, flying in the face of blatant statements these Islamic extremists have made about their own hellish intentions and inspirations. He continues to run verbal interference for these atrocities, referring to them instead as “workplace violence” (several incidents), and “gun violence” as he redirects the dialogue away from Islamic extremism to his agenda to disarm the American public. I suppose the gruesome weekly beheadings of Christians taking place in the Middle East is “cutlery violence” in Obama‘s world, not religiously motivated. How many times does “workplace violence” begin with a screech of “Allahu Akbar”, Barack?
The inconvenient truth here is that your president and his top Justice, Immigration and foreign relations officers are more concerned about promoting “social justice” than executing actual justice by protecting your safety as an American citizen. Political correctness has taken precedence over Constitutional correctness.
As a Christian, I don’t see reactionary violence as the preferred solution to these events, and as a somewhat rational person I don’t approve of blanket calls for violence against any group. However, I would like to know that my government doesn’t equate vitriolic words spray painted on a mosque with American citizens lying dead and dying in an office building, and that they care more about people than perceptions. Statements like Lynch’s and Obama’s clearly indicate who gets preferential treatment, and it’s not law-abiding citizens like me. Your First Amendment rights have been subordinated to the “rights” of non-citizen mass murderers, it seems.
If Loretta Lynch is so concerned about prosecuting anyone who verbally attacks one specific group of people, like Muslims, why isn’t she moving against her boss, who regularly attacks American gun owners, Christians, global warming skeptics and police officers?
What’s more telling are the groups he doesn’t attack, like Islamic jihadists (won’t even mention the term domestically), black rioters and looters, and Planned Parenthood body parts vendors, to name a few.
As James Barrett wrote in his column in The Daily Wire this week,
It is painfully clear that, like her predecessor Eric Holder, Lynch is far more concerned with promoting the social justice agenda than upholding the Constitutional rights of American citizens. What exactly is speech that “edges towards violence”? What exactly are “actions predicated on violent talk“? In the end, it is whatever she decides it to mean.
Was there any DOJ prosecution of the open threats made by Malik Shabazz and the New Black Panther Party to white voters in the last election cycle? What about the blanket calls for violence against police officers and white Americans by the Ferguson rioters and the Black Lives Matter demonstrators across the country? Nothing from the AG’s office. DOJ now needs to be know as the Department of Selective Justice.
One last comment from Lynch in regards to the San Bernardino jihad killings is instructive.
She said, “We’re at the point where these issues have come together really like never before in law enforcement thought and in our nation’s history and it gives us a wonderful opportunity and a wonderful moment to really make significant change.”
I don’t think the families of fourteen dead people and another two dozen wounded two week’s before Christmas consider this a “wonderful opportunity” for anything, Loretta. Particularly since you have indicated that in your Justice department, words matter more than lives and rights. You are certainly your boss’s protégé.
