This Peanuts Character Isn’t Politically Correct, But Allah Is Totally COOL
And there were in the same country shepherds abiding in the field, keeping watch over their flock by night. And lo, the angel of the Lord came upon them, and the glory of the Lord shone round about them: and they were sore afraid. And the angel said unto them, Fear not: for behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people. For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Saviour, which is Christ the Lord. And this shall be a sign unto you; Ye shall find the babe wrapped in swaddling clothes, lying in a manger. And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host praising God and saying, Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, good will towards men.
Luke 2: 8-14
I wonder how many people in America really and truly believe that this passage is absolutely true. Do we still believe that this baby, whose birth we should be celebrating every Christmas (if not daily) was indeed God Himself? Does it matter to us anymore? Do we believe that this Baby Jesus was born, lived a perfectly sinless life, and was crucified for us? The Lord Jesus’ sacrifice allowed us to have peace with God Himself! From my informal observations of America, I’d say it matters to less and less people every year. How does a nation that was founded on Biblical principles and the absolute certainty that that God, written about in the Bible, is indeed our Creator, even consider cutting these passages out of a Christmas play in Kentucky, USA? Yet it was done and many continue to insist that Islam is the “Religion of Peace.” The argument that most Muslims are peaceful goes on and on.
Muslims that practice Islam can only be peaceful for one of three reasons. They could be clueless about what their Quran says about violence. These Muslims were taught wrong. After all that is happening now in the name of Allah, there are no excuses for ignorance. Or they might know exactly what the Quran says about violence and they are too scared to leave the religion and/or speak up and warn infidels that they are in danger. They could be converted to Christianity and too afraid to admit it. After all, speaking out or leaving Islam is punishable by death. Or, like we saw unfold in San Bernardino, CA, they are accomplices to the crimes by participating indirectly… possibly by just staying silent to protect the radicals.
Violence in Islam is summed up like this: The greatest reward you will get from Allah comes from killing non-believers (Infidels). Islam directly contradicts Christianity with respect to treatment of non-believers. According to Islam, if someone refuses to believe that Allah is the one true god, they should be killed. I guess that’s one way to eventually achieve “peace.” Simply, kill everyone who disagrees with you. Christianity says to tell others about the hope they have in Christ Jesus and allow them to choose for themselves. If they don’t want to believe it, just let them be. It’s their choice. This would certainly achieve peace in a less bloody manner!
So now we cut out Linus and welcome in refugees that practice a religion that is far from peaceful. Those of us that try to point this out are called hateful and intolerant. Are we supposed to forget the fact that our exceptional nation was founded on principles that clearly contradict Islam? Islam does not agree with any Christian denomination about how they treat non-believers. We don’t tell these refugees to leave Islam behind. Do we?
Christians have every reason to be peaceful and yet too many times we allow the opportunities to talk about the peace that truly is beyond all human understanding pass us by because our politically correct society pressures us into silence. Christmas time brings so much opportunity to express God’s love and real peace. If only we would be brave enough to tell the truth. If we don’t know the truth, I pray more of us become brave enough in this new year to find truth and speak with confidence. How does a silent Christian help anyone, including the lost Muslims amongst us? How does encouraging and allowing people to practice a religion that encourages harm help anyone? Have a wonderful holiday season.
