6 Quotes from Obama’s SOTU That Are Total BS

This past week, Obama gave his final State of the Union Address. Here are some excerpts from his address, along with my thoughts on them.
— “In fact, it’s that spirit that made the progress of these past seven years possible. It’s how we recovered from the worst economic crisis in generations. It’s how we reformed our health care system, and reinvented our energy sector; how we delivered more care and benefits to our troops and veterans, and how we secured the freedom in every state to marry the person we love.”
There has hardly been any progress made during the past seven years, nor has there been any actual recovery (given the national debt). Obamacare has proven to be a disaster, and green energy has turned out to be a flop. There has been little increase in care and benefits for the military and veterans, and not everyone in America approves of same-sex marriages (e.g. Kim Davis).
— “Anyone claiming America is in economic decline is peddling fiction.”
America is indeed in economic decline due to the national debt and a decrease in the middle class. It is not fiction. If anyone is peddling fiction, it is Obama (and his supporters).
— “For the loved ones we’ve all lost, for the families that we can still save, let’s make America the country that cures cancer once and for all.”
The United States Government has yet to come up with a cure for cancer ever since the Nixon Administration declared war on it, so what makes Obama think his administration will find a cure this year? There will only be more government research on cancer with no results.
— “Look, if anybody still wants to dispute the science around climate change, have at it. You will be pretty lonely, because you’ll be debating our military, most of America’s business leaders, the majority of the America people, almost the entire scientific community, and 200 nations around the world who agree it’s a problem and intend to solve it.”
I believe the military has more important matters to worry about than climate change. The same can be said for America’s business leaders. And a majority of the American people and the scientific community actually believe that climate change is not man-made, as do some people in other countries.
— “Both Al Qaeda and now ISIL pose a direct threat to our people….”
So he is now admitting that ISIL, a.k.a. ISIS, is a threat, let alone focus on terrorism?
“And as we speak, Iran has rolled back its nuclear program, shipped out its uranium stockpile, and the world has avoided another war.”
I doubt that is the case, especially with the way Iran has behaved recently.
— “We’ve got to make it easier to vote. Not harder.”
How has it become harder for people to vote, especially with the many cases of voter fraud in some of our elections?
With all the lies and arrogance of the Obama Administration, I hope the next President will be a true conservative.
