QUESTION: Hillary Bashes Trump’s Wealth … Is She A NASTY Hypocrite?
Well, isn’t this special? Hillary, the millionaire career politician, is going after Donald Trump, the real estate mogul, for his wealth. Do you think this might be just a little hypocritical? Or do you think she’s a big nasty hypocrite?
Hillary Clinton used Donald Trump’s enormous wealth against him at a campaign event today, casting the brazen billionaire as out of touch as she powers up for the general election.
‘Don’t just fly that big jet and land it and go give a big speech and insult everybody you can think of and then get on the big jet and go back to your country club house in Florida or your penthouse in New York,’ Clinton said today in Wilmington, Delaware, hammering Trump’s campaign routine.
But the attack puts her own lifestyle in the limelight, as she also flies private between campaign events and splits her time between two mansions – a $1.7 million farm house in Chappaqua, New York and a $2.85 million five-bedroom colonial just off of Washington, D.C.’s Embassy Row.
Clinton has made this misstep before, commenting about how she and the former president were ‘dead broke’ after leaving the White House, even though they had just purchased two million dollar-plus homes.
She made the comments to Diane Sawyer in June 2014 during the release of her book ‘Hard Choices.’
The former secretary of state was forced to backtrack several days later, explaining to Robin Roberts that ‘everything in life has to be put in context.’
‘And, as I recall, we were something like $12 million in debt,’ Clinton said.
…
Nearly fifteen years later, in October 2015, Forbes calculated just how much the Clintons have brought in – $230 million.
Beyond the two houses, they have a Manhattan apartment and one they can utilize in Little Rock, Arkansas that is owned by President Bill Clinton’s presidential library.
