Obama’s Actions in These Countries Are ANOTHER Sign of America’s Weakness

Just recently, Barrack Obama has been on a trip to Asia, which included pandering to the Vietnamese and apologizing to Japan over America dropping bombs on Hiroshima and Nagasaki. He even went so far as to advocate a world without nuclear weapons, and claimed Donald Trump’s candidacy has “rattled” world leaders.

That has got to be the biggest load of nonsense I have heard from Obama in regards to foreign policy, especially in regards to the atomic bomb. Obviously Obama does not know much about World War II.

First, it was the Japanese (and the other Axis Powers) who were the aggressors. The Japanese invaded and conquered part of Asia and the Pacific, while Germany and Italy overran Europe and part of Africa. Such invasions led to various atrocities- the Rape of Nanking, the Bataan Death March, the Malmedy Massacre, and the Holocaust. And of course, it was the Japanese who declared war on America with their sneak attack on Pearl Harbor. I wonder if the Japanese apologized to Obama over their actions during World War II.

Second, very few people knew just how destructive the atomic bomb really was. Harry Truman had been President for only a few months, and knew little about the atomic bomb. All he knew that it was a new type of weapon, and using it would force the Japanese to surrender, which in turn saved many American lives, given the determination of the Japanese to fight to the death. An invasion of the Japanese main islands would have probably taken a year or two to carry out (even with the help of our allies) and would have resulted in heavy American casualties.

Third, America was practically in a nuclear arms race during World War II. American intelligence discovered that Germany was trying to develop an atomic bomb, thus it was necessary for America to be the first to come up with the atomic bomb. As it turned out, the Germans never succeeded, due to lack of manpower as well as the time and cost of the project. There is some debate on how much progress the Germans made in developing an atomic bomb, given all the documentation, as well as the recent claims of nuclear weapons being found in Germany. Meanwhile, the Japanese were said to have been working on their own atomic bomb. And of course, the Soviets would join the nuclear arms race, due to having spies on the Manhattan Project.

Fourth, the radiation given from both atomic bombs was not as bad as some people claimed. In fact, among the 90,000 survivors of Hiroshima and Nagasaki, half of them were still living 50 years later (so much for radiation being a bad thing).

Finally, in reference to Obama’s view of a world without nuclear weapons, that is nothing more than wishful thinking. Do you really think Russia, China, North Korea, and Pakistan will do away with all their nukes? I don’t think so. Meanwhile, Iran is trying to develop nuclear weapons.

In conclusion, apologizing to Japan is just another sign of American weakness.

P.S. I should add that nuclear energy is the safest, cleanest form of energy. And contrary to popular belief, Chernobyl and Three Mile Island were not as bad as perceived. Thus, fearmongering has led to a halt in the development of nuclear power plants in America, while other nations that have them plan to phase them out.
