Controversial Wikileaks founder Julian Assange is warning Americans that the media is “erecting a demon” by its slavishly favorable coverage of Hillary Clinton who he says is “whipping up neo-McCarthyist hysteria about Russia.”
During an interview with The New York Times that was broadcasted live over Facebook, Assange also blasted the recent absurd claim by CIA deputy director Michael Morell that both Donald Trump and Green Party candidate Jill Stein are being secretly manipulated by Russian spies…
…Assange, though, said all this was utter nonsense and called it “neo-McCarthyist hysteria.” He went on to slam the media for its loving treatment of Hillary.
“The American liberal press, in falling over themselves to defend Hillary Clinton,” Assange said, “are erecting a demon that is going to put nooses around everyone’s necks as soon as she wins the election, which is almost certainly what she’s going to do.”
