LEFTIST HYPOCRISY: ‘All Cultures Are EQUAL, But Some Are MORE Equal Than Others’
When Europeans first arrived in what is now America, the inevitable happened: The culture of our European ancestors clashed with the culture of our Indian ancestors.
Europeans didn’t assimilate.
They had no interest in building tepees or scalping members of the neighboring tribe. Often they got along. More often they did not.
To my knowledge there has never been an instance in human history when two significantly different cultures successfully merged without dire consequences.
Nonetheless, globalist loons such as Hillary Clinton and German chancellor Angela Merkel continue to preach a sordid sermon that rebuffs reality and embraces this cultural Marxist myth: Diversity is our strength.
• A case in point is the Notting Hill Carnival in England. The event is an annual celebration of diversity. The mainstream media convince us with images of smiling revelers that all was well in Notting Hill.
Police reports say something different.
A police commissioner reported that officers dread the two-day annual festival. He complained that revelers view police as little more than professional punching bags.
45 police officers were injured from attacks at this year’s two-day event. The total number of officers attacked was not disclosed.
454 arrests were made. Charges filed included stabbings, sexual assaults, and beatings.
Talk show presenter Katy Hopkins — Britain’s version of Ann Coulter — complained of the event’s debauchery.
“We’ve been looking at other events, like the football, like Chinese New Year, like an event for Scottish people. We’ve tried to find comparable statistics and we can’t,” she said.
Globalists try to merge us into one universal commune. It never works. It seems we’re all genetically endowed with a sense of both tribalism and nationalism. We prefer the company of people like ourselves and innately view those different as a potential threat.
Black Lives Matter (BLM) entered the fray by complaining that black males attending the event were singled out by police. The fact that BLM is concerned with — and only concerned with — black lives testifies to their innate tribalism.
• Oddly, the far left maintains a pretense of cultural and ethnic relativism; but only when it fits their narrative.
Weeks after a Muslim murdered 49 innocent Americans at an Orlando night club, the airport in that city announced plans to invest $350,000 to install an Islamic prayer room. The cultural Marxists call for tolerance was heeded.
However, when a white man gunned down nine black church goers in Charlottesville, South Carolina last year, there were no plans to accommodate white supremacists. Rather, the far left demonstrated their cultural intolerance by removing the Confederate flag from public display, disinterring Confederate heroes, and removing countless Confederate icons from across the nation.
Muslims gunning down innocent people is rewarded. White supremacists gunning down innocent people is punished.
The far left embraces multiculturalism; Southern culture excluded. It preaches inclusion while excluding those with a Southern drawl and a wholesome pride in their Southern heritage.
• Hillary Clinton and globalists et al adhere to their promise that proper vetting of Islamic “refugees” will remove any possibility of future terrorist attacks. The theme, again, is unity; a world without borders.
Meanwhile the number of terrorist attacks committed by Muslims continues to rise. As of September 1, 2016 there were 29,139 documented terrorist attacks committed by Muslims since 9-11-2001.
Still, globalists insist that we celebrate diversity. Diversity, they say, is our strength. Hypocritically, however, they oppose diversity in free speech.
• Another cultural clash occurred in Portland, Oregon last week.
Social justice warriors (SJWs) discovered a sinister plot to ban rap music from school buses. The outcry was swift and sure: Banning rap music smacks of racism. Why did the schools not ban country music?
While the SJWs adjusted their halos and basked in the sunlight of their own wonderfulness, they failed to notice their own admission that rap and country music are testimonies to cultural diversity.
They also failed to grasp this simple abstract: Rap music is awash with lyrics that celebrate gun violence, illegal narcotics, and rape. It also reinforces the stereotypes that the regressive left pretends to oppose. By demanding schools reverse their ban on rap music, social justice warriors were being complicit to the violence that plagues our nation’s black communities and snuffs out thousands of black lives.
• Granted, most of us want to get along. That desire, however, is no excuse to ignore the brutal reality that diversity begets conflict.
Is diversity our strength?
Jesus answered that question with these words: “And if a kingdom be divided against itself, that kingdom cannot stand.”
