Do You REALLY Want To ‘DRAIN THE SWAMP’ — Nominate THIS Guy For OMB Director

Written by S.C. Sherman on December 10, 2016

Donald Trump is on a roll! His critics are frothing at the mouth in horror at the idea of a Trump presidency. The left really are still in a state of shock. Trump doesn’t care, he’s filing people through Trump Tower interviewing candidates for key positions. The Donald is proving that for all his bombastic behavior, he sure can pick ‘em!

It began with a solid pick for VP in Mike Pence and his cabinet is coming together nicely. Jeff Sessions for Attorney General struck fear into the hearts of many a swamp-dwelling DC crony. Then he moved onto Nikki Haley for UN Ambassador, and Tom Price and Ben Carson all found roles in Trumps takeover. My personal favorite so far is Secretary of Defense Retired Marine Corps General James “Mad Dog” Mattis. If your nickname is “Mad Dog” you are probably one tough SOB! Perfect for SecDef. Our enemies just took a collective deep breath and began scurrying for their caves at this appointment.

Trump’s mandate rides on actually draining the swamp rather than adding to it or pretending to drain it. He really must do it or his base will flee and he will find himself surrounded by alligators.

That’s why Mick Mulvaney (R-SC) would be a powerful addition to the new cabinet as the Office of Management and Budget (OMB) Director. Mulvaney has been seen meeting with Trump and we can only hope it is for the OMB position. Of course, OMB is not as exciting as SecDef and Mulvaney doesn’t have a cool nickname like “Mad Dog”, but he is licking his chops to reign in the unmitigated spending spree we’ve been on for the last eight years or longer.

Mulvaney recently stated, “I would love to be the director of OMB. That is where I think REAL improvements could be made in how the government is run.”

Mulvaney is right about that. The Office of Management and Budget prepares the budget for all the federal agencies. This is the position that will benefit the most from a strong fiscal conservative at the controls.

Mulvaney has shown he has little patience for some of the swamp-thing legislators in DC and their desire to mislead the American people day in and day out. He is for passing “clean” bills without add-ons used to slip legislation onto a “Continuing Resolution” that must pass. It’s a legislative sham heavily controlled by special interests and he’s been staunchly against it as a practice. A bill should pass or fail on its own merits, not be forced through deceptively. He is ready to make the tough decisions and slash the size of our behemoth government and do it with real transparency.

American’s sent a clear message they want to see government spending pulled back. They want to see corruption disappearing. The government must be reformed to watch the economic explosion we are all hoping to see “Making America Great Again”. Trump has a tall order to live up to all that he promised. A guy like Mulvaney at helm of the OMB would be another pick to be excited about. He’s a real conservative. As OMB Director he would be the right guy at the right place at the right time.

However, he does need a cool nickname to compete with “Mad Dog”. As OMB Director he would be slashing budgets all day long. His nickname could be “Slasher”? No matter what you call Mulvaney, Trump would go a long ways to providing good on his promises by offering Mulvaney this spot.

Share if you agree Mick Mulvaney might be just the man to head the OMB.
