WATCH: President-Elect Trump Arrives In D.C. And Has THIS As His First Inaugural Event

President-Elect Trump, Vice President-Elect Pence, and their families attended a brief, solemn but powerful event to kick off the Inauguration.

The First Official Inaugural event followed tradition.

The President-Elect and Vice President-Elect arrived at the Arlington National Cemetary to lay a wreath at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier.

The event had no speeches, just a drummer and a military bugler blowing Taps.

During his campaign for the nation’s highest elective office, Trump frequently spoke of significantly beefing up America’s military that he said had been severely weakened during President Obama’s eight years in office.
