That ‘free ride’ Clock Boy was looking for? Not so free.
The only ‘prejudice’ Clock Boy faced was his claims being DISMISSED with Prejudice!
You may remember that ‘Clock Boy’ was the center of a series of controversies.
First was when he brought the fake bomb disassembled clock ‘science project’ to school, and became the center of a bomb scare and Islamophobia allegation.
He was fawned over by Obama (given a visit to the White House … which naturally assumed the worst about Law Enforcement).
He was fawned over by MIT.
He and his dad were Liberal Media DARLINGS.
He left the country for awhile.
Then he came back, looking for a payday. He launched several lawsuits.
The answer he got back from the judge was NOT what he was hoping for:
FIRST: Clock-Boy Got NO Payday:
…All of Plantiff’s Claims Against Shapiro are dismissed with prejudice in their entirety. Plantiffs shall take nothing from Shapiro.
SECOND: ClockBoy’s team paid an actual Price for this Lawfare:
…Shapiro is entitled to recover his attorney’s fees court costs and other expenses in bringing his motion to dismiss and defending against Plaintiff’s claims.
Here’s what Ben Shapiro had to say:
“This is an excellent day for free speech,” Shapiro said. “Using law as warfare is perhaps the most disgusting tactic of politically correct activists across the country, and we couldn’t be more excited to stand up against such frivolous use of our court system. My initial comments suggested that false charges of Islamophobia only muddy the waters when it comes to policing actual dangerous activity, and I’m proud to fight back against such charges.”
If you know anything about Islam, this story has a really funny subplot.
In the opinion of Muslims… everything that happens is ‘the will of allah’.
Which, of course, means that this CASE is ALSO ‘the will of allah’.
Clockboy got offended (and/or greedy) and sued Shapiro. Shapiro won. Clockboy’s side wound up GIVING money TO Shapiro.
What makes this funny? Shapiro is devoutly Jewish.
According to a Muslim’s OWN doctrine, it was the will of allah that Clockboy be made to pay money to a devout Jewish man.
Life is just funny sometimes.
