Liberals are a funny bunch. They scream for equality, but their policy ideas don’t seem to fit that mold.
And the reason that white men should pay more?
White Male Privilege.
Sadly, yes. This is a serious suggestion.
The Socialists are now looking at redistributing wealth via ‘reparations’ for being born white.
White people should pay extra taxes because they are more privileged, an op-ed at Wesplain argues.
The article, titled, “It’s Time for White People to Pay for Privilege: The Equality Tax,”argues that all minorities face economic disadvantages.
“Racist employers, a disproportionate targeting of minorities by law enforcement, racial wage gaps, poor inner city schools; these all contribute to what is an undeniable reality for minorities,” the article claims…
…The extra money would be redistributed to minorities in a form of reparations for past and present struggles.
“That’s $1,348 for every US minority individual or roughly $3,000 per minority household on an annual basis. While $3,000 could never rectify centuries of abuse, it could at least give minorities the financial tools to compete in a white, male-dominated society,” the article states.

The author of the article did put a ‘Talcum X’ disclaimer for the faux-folks like Shaun King and Rachel Dolezal.
We have reached out to the author of this article. They have confirmed that if you were born white, but identify as a different race or otherkin, you would be void from paying the Equality Tax. You would just have to submit proof that this transformation is genuine.
And exactly WTF is an ‘otherkin’?

To even the playing field, the privileged should pay more. I don’t know how much more, but it must be more. Let’s start at 5% as if centuries of subjugation could ever be righted by such a minuscule percentage. Certainly, the privileged can stand to spare 5% with all of their economic advantages…

Before going all John Cena on this… let’s take a look at the numbers that were proposed in the article.
First, we have to do some math. According to USGovernmentRevenue.com, in the fiscal year 2017, the US government will bring in $3.64 trillion dollars from federal taxes.
According to TaxFoundation.org, white Americans pay 83% of the federal income tax.
This means that white Americans are responsible for approximately $3.02 trillion dollars that the government will receive in 2017. Add 5% to this number, and this means that minorities will benefit by a total of $151 billion dollars.
Quick little fun-facts: According to Census.gov, the non-Hispanic white population of the US is 61.6% in 2015.
NBC reported that the ‘white majority’ in the US will disappear by 2043 according to Census data.
Ok, back to the numbers.
According to this article, and 2015 census data, 61.6% of white Americans are paying 83% of the Federal income tax.
There is already inequality there.
And where does this money go?
Obamacare, schools, affirmative action, race-based grants, and the running of the federal government that benefits all Americans.
And this author wants whites to pay more?
And there are ‘caveats’?
So white men pay the most, and down the line.
What this does is ‘flip the pyramid’ of privilege — now the ones allegedly at the bottom of the privilege hierarchy would be the recipients of the ‘unearned’ privilege in the form of ‘equality’ payments.
The entire concept of privilege is that it is unearned.
This is nothing more than a grab at the wallet of the ‘privileged’ based on their race.
It is racism, no matter what Google says.
What about the many successes of so many people that are from minority groups?
If you just take African Americans, you have many members of Congress, civil rights leaders, actors, singers, fashion moguls, artists, leaders in business — everywhere.
Even 8 years as President of the United States of America, the greatest country on Earth.
But that’s not just not enough for the Social Justice Warriors.
White people need to be ‘punished’ for being white.
This is the ‘post-racial’ era ushered in under Obama?
It doesn’t look ‘post-racial’ to me.

I will end with a question to the author of the proposed ‘Equality Tax’:
In 100 years or even 200, when white people are the minority and are paying the jizya ‘equality tax’ for their dhimmitude being white. Now that their ‘white privilege’ is diminished, would you fight for them to benefit from ‘reparations’?
If the answer is ‘No’, then this policy isn’t about ‘fairness’ at all.
It’s racism.
