AFTER ELEVEN SEASONS, A Farewell Tribute to ‘Duck Dynasty’

Written by Andrew Linn on March 27, 2017

This Wednesday, March 29, will see the series finale of A & E’s television series Duck Dynasty. After five years and eleven seasons, the Robertson family will be calling it quits. This show has definitely re-introduced conservative values to America via the television industry, as well as survival skills, some insight into the redneck culture, and lessons on life in general.

Liberals were outraged when Phil Robertson told the truth about homosexuality (i.e. it is a sin), and Phil was suspended from the show by A & E. Phil’s suspension outraged fans of the show, thus leading to A & E reinstating him.

Despite Phil’s suspension, Duck Dynasty has had excellent ratings, and has been downright hilarious. From Si being the breakout character to Mountain Man’s extremely laid-back approach to various matters, Duck Dynasty is perhaps the funniest reality show of all time.

It is unclear as to what all will happen in the final episode, or what will become of its spinoffs Jep and Jessica: Growing the Dynasty and Going Si-Ral. But for now, I have decided to list some of the most memorable scenes of Duck Dynasty.
• “Frog in One”: Willie and Jase decide to play golf instead of speaking at their kids’ school career day, so Phil and Si fill in for them:
• “Good Morning, West Monroe”: Jase takes a stand against the Homeowner’s Association after he gets in trouble for burning leaves in his yard and for having chickens:
• “Duck Season Eve”: the Robertsons camp out the night before the start of duck season, and Si shoots at a snake he claims to have seen:
• “Duck be a Lady”: Willie decides Sadie’s homecoming dress is too short, so he takes her dress shopping, and Si tags along: &

• “Scoot Along Si”: Si gets a mobility scooter after claiming to have been injured due to a fender bender between his truck and Willie’s truck. Willie does not believe Si is hurt, so Si literally scoots:
• “G.I. Si”: a paintball competition takes place among the Robertson family, with them being divided into two teams. Si, however, decides to be on his own team:
• “Men vs. Wild”: Si decides to use coupons for the first time when he goes grocery shopping with Miss Kay:
• “A Home for the Holidays”: the Robertsons donate a house to a friend who had fallen on hard times:

Needless to say, there have been a lot of funny moments on Duck Dynasty. So be sure to tune in this Wednesday at 9 PM EST/8 PM CST.
