HYPOCRITE: Maxine Waters ATTACKS Ivanka For UNPAID Work With Her Dad — But Pays $750K To HER Daughter
Well, this is pretty awkward.
California Congresswoman Maxine Waters has been a vocal critical of Ivanka’s unpaid work as President Trump’s assistant.
It was just revealed that Rep. Waters employs her own daughter in a pay-to-play scheme and she’s raked in over $750,000 and counting for sending out mailers.
Basically, Rep. Waters is selling her endorsement to political groups or other candidates to the highest bidder.
Yeah, that’s not sketchy at all.
Rep. Maxine Waters (D., Calif.) is slated to pay her daughter another $108,000 for running a lucrative campaign operation that pulls in hundreds of thousands of dollars each election cycle, FEC filings show.
Karen Waters, the daughter of Rep. Waters, collected nearly $650,000 to date for running the operation for her mother’s campaign.
Karen is in charge of a “slate mailer” operation for Citizens for Waters, Rep. Waters’ federal campaign committee. Slate mailers, or endorsement mailers, involve a candidate or political group paying for the endorsement of another politician.
A candidate pays Citizens for Waters from their own political committees for her endorsement. If a candidate that she endorses does not directly pay her campaign committee, they must credit their own committee with in-kind contributions from Waters.
The mailers are sent to nearly 200,000 residents in South Central Los Angeles, an area where Waters holds considerable clout. The mailers contain an “official sample ballot” and brief quotes from Waters about the candidates and measures that she supports.
During the 2016 election cycle, Waters’ campaign committee hauled in nearly $300,000 from more than 20 payments for slate mailer endorsements.

Senator Kamala Harris reportedly paid $30,000 when she was Attorney General to appear on the mailers in her Senate seat bid. She also paid $28.000 in 2010 to be in the mailers when she was running for Attorney General.

Despite 13 terms in Congress, Waters only recently gained a national profile, after vowing to obstruct Trump and promising to impeach him, even though Waters’ pal Nancy Pelosi conceded that the president has committed no impeachable offenses.
Maxine Waters’ career highlights include being rated one of the “most corrupt” members of Congress in 2005, 2006, and 2008 by the George Soros-funded liberal watchdog CREW (Citizens for Responsibility and Ethics in Washington).
In 2008, Waters was charged with three counts of ethical violations after allegedly helping OneUnited Bank secure $12 million in federal bailout funds while hiding the fact that her husband owned stock in the bank.
