The feminists claim that they are constantly fighting for women’s rights, but evidence says otherwise. If you are truly a feminist, you should abhor Female Genital Mutilation FGM. However, today’s feminists do not utter a word against this barbaric practice for fear of offending the Muslims.
Let’s take a look at FGM. According to the World Health Organization (WHO) “FGM includes procedures that intentionally alter or cause injury to the female genital organs for non-medical reasons. It comprises all procedures that involve partial or total removal of the external female genitalia, for non-medical reasons.” This disgusting procedure is done mostly in thirty Muslim countries in Africa, the Middle East and Asia. Over 200 million girls and women have experienced this horror. It is done anywhere from infancy to adolescence and often done by non-medical personnel WITHOUT anesthesia. All sorts of equipment is used to perform this procedure, including razors, scissors, and broken glass.
Why is this done? Basically, it is used to control women’s sexuality, and is the worst kind of misogyny ever practiced. Unfortunately, FGM is harmful and has many risks. The removal of healthy tissue interferes with normal functioning of the female body. Complications are frequent and include severe pain, excessive bleeding, infections, urinary tract problems, shock, and sometimes death.
The long term effects include urinary, menstrual, and vaginal problems. There is no sexual pleasure, and often pain, during intercourse. There are frequent complications during childbirth, and many women have psychological problems.
It is illegal in the United States of America and in most Western countries, although it’s still being performed. In England, 5,391 new cases of FGM were discovered in Muslim girls in one year! However, there has not been one prosecution. In the United States, the mainstream media will not print or broadcast the fact that the Trump Administration Department of Justice is launching a campaign to eradicate it. The New York Times says “it’s culturally loaded”. That’s their excuse for not pursuing it.
The so-called logic for this brutality from some of the Imams is beyond comprehension. Shaker Elsayed, Imam of Dar Al-Hijrah Mosque, in Fairfax County, Virginia endorses FGM. He claims it prevents girls from becoming hyper-sexually-active. Egyptian cleric Sheikh Abd Al-Wahhab Al-Maligi, insists that there are economic benefits to female circumcision. He says it is a preventative medical measure. He claims that those who are uncircumcised will be afflicted with many serious diseases. If one contracts one of these diseases they must spend money and the state must spend money on the treatment. But, we can save all this money and direct it elsewhere. So this is how he asserts that this is preventative medicine. What a bunch of baloney!
The first case of FGM being prosecuted in the United States has emerged in Detroit, Michigan. It seems that a Doctor Nagarwala and two others, were arrested for performing the procedure on seven-year-old girls! The mothers brought the girls from Minnesota for the procedure to be performed. The girls were told that the cutting was needed “to get the germs out”, and that they were not to tell anyone what happened to them. One of the victims told the FBI that she screamed in pain and was barely able to walk as she left the clinic. Doctors working with the FBI found that seven-year-olds’ genitals were abnormal looking with scar tissue. Authorities believe that there were many more girls brought to this suburban clinic to have FGM performed.
Last word: So, with all this going on, where are the feminists to speak out for these girls? Where is the National Organization for Women (NOW)? Nowhere to be seen or heard from.
FGM, which was once unheard-of in the USA, has become a problem that must be dealt with because of the influx of so many “refugees” from Muslim countries. It is inconceivable that the feminists say nothing and do nothing. They would rather run around in their pussy-hats, screaming and hollering…for what?
Disgraceful.
