Brave Bro Overpowers Burglars, Shoots Them … And Then Gets Bad News

They REALLY don’t like guns up there. The moral of the story, I suppose, is if you want to rob someone, do it in Canada.

Why is that?

On Canada’s East Coast, armed thugs stormed into an occupied residence to rob the two men inside. It ended badly for the would-be thieves.

Desperate, and fearing for their lives, they fought the gun away from one attacker and opened fire. It drove their attackers off, and one of them had minor injuries.

That was the GOOD news. They managed to drive away the attackers without getting killed or robbed.

In Texas, the guys would be local heroes, and strangers would be offering to buy them a beer.

This wasn’t Texas. It’s Canada, so the HOMEOWNER is facing charges.

Munroe faces charges of attempted murder, intent to discharge a firearm, intent to discharge a firearm when being reckless, careless use of a firearm, improper storage of a firearm, pointing a firearm, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, unauthorized possession of a firearm, possession of a firearm knowing that possession is unauthorized, and possession of the purpose of trafficking.

…Munroe is banned from any contact with two named individuals, must attend court as ordered, keep the peace and be of good behaviour, not leave his residence except for essential activities such as work or medical appointments, remain in Nova Scotia, not consume drugs or alcohol, not possess a cellphone or pager, have no weapons, and answer the door to police when they check at his home. –Chronicle Herald

Well, THAT sucks.

So, if you’re gonna be robbed SOMEWHERE, do it in Texas.

Share if gun laws are supposed to protect law abiding citizens, NOT thugs and burglars
